"Hilton Auto Transport operates like all the other companies. They are brokers that find truckers to move customer’s cars. The trucks are not their employees. The way this industry works is your broker posts the job on an online bulletin board for drivers to see. They take the job if it fits their schedule and meets their financial needs for the trip. The broker is paid their commission and the rest is paid to the trucker directly. Usually bank check or cash upon delivery. We wanted to move a car from the San Francisco area to WV. We had no takers for a week. This was not the fault of Hilton. Truckers seem to be afraid of WV. We changed the destination to a spot in VA that was only 20 minutes away and got an interested trucker the same day. In this industry, you are at the mercy of where drivers are headed. They try to make a load that will be delivered in a cluster for efficiency. You work directly with Nichole and she was good on the phone and tried very hard to find us a truck that would go to WV. We were not in a hurry and we had back and forth emails for a while before we signed up. Once we committed, she was great. Very up front about our particular situation and responded to phone calls. Their commission was reasonable, especially compared to many of the other brokers. The trucker we got turned out to be friendly and very efficient. The entire process was easy once we changed the destination to VA. All in all, we would use Hilton Auto Transport again."

"He is extremely honest and professional. He politely asked me detailed questions, but then immediately suggested calling my borough trash collector first to see if they would do it for free. He told me he would happily do it but wanted to save me some money. ?I contacted my borough and sure enough they said they would do it! "I wrote some emails, and Jon was the first to respond. He came, said he could do it, and just asked that I cut  a trail with my snowblower from the back hatch to the front driveway (which I gladly did). He carefully and without mess got rid of the oil tank from the basement. He has earned my trust, and I have hired him to move us locally. "I needed a lot of work done at my dad's old house in Alburgh, VT. I had trouble finding anyone who would do the work I needed in that location, or would actually call me back. When I heard a radio ad telling me that Grunts also did construction work in addition to junk removal and moving services, I thought I'd get in touch. I'm so glad I did. They were able to do all the work I needed, being in Alburgh was not a problem, and they were finished inside two weeks. No one was living in the house at the time so they pretty much had the run of the place, but when I was up there a week into the work most of it was done already, and they had left the house clean even thought they weren't there at the time and they obviously weren't finished yet. The original estimate didn't include the work to the porch roof, but the estimate for that plus the original estimate ended up being the same as the final bill, which is always nice.. They even removed a piano from the living room for me, and they don't appear to have charged me extra for it. I never had direct contact with the work crew except over the phone on day 1, but all communications between myself and the company were professional and friendly. I gave an N/A on price because I didn't actually do any price comparisons, as I was just happy the location didn't scare them off and the price was in my budget. It seemed reasonable however. Overall the work was high quality, timely, professional, and I'd absolutely hire them again in the future."
