"Adam from G.Z.L. Painting was the only contact who identified himself by name (great when receiving multiple texts from various contacts). Adam's pricing was competitive and he did not give the impression that the job was too small for consideration. He was polite, friendly, professional, and did an amazing job! We needed an area painted that included split stairs with high ceilings, AND a window area. We are very pleased with his work, and have asked him to do another job. My husband and I would highly recommend Adam to others."

"Perry was very professional and I would hire him again. His painting job was beautiful when it was done. He was always on time and his helper (Rubin) was great."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Waterford, CA

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
