"It went great! Jon Miller our project manager was awesome and very responsive, and our roofing install crew led by Enrique was prompt, professional, efficient, and did a great job. Very happy with the GAF solar system and roof system. Everything was delivered as promised and looks great. I highly recommend them."

"Our overall experience with RenewPro Roofing was very positive and I would have no hesitation to recommend them to others for roof replacement projects. Our salesman Brian Douek was knowledgeable and took time to explain our need for replacing our roof and the whole process including billing through insurance. The actual replacement was super efficiently done and the crew did the tear down and replacement all in one day - my house is a single floor single family home. Brian also was very good in working with me to settle the billing and payment through Insurance."

"Up through signing on, it went great - very responsive - answered all questions. While the actual quality of work appears good (except for damage to gutters, sprinklers etc - expected some) the ability to extract information was tough. Once the work crew arrived, my poor Spanish and their poor English didn't always get the point across. Had concerns and tried to determine the quality of the roof plywood (told all was good) but two sheets were replaced and no one knows where."

"I just had my roof replaced from shingles to Metal panels. I decided to go with a new metal roof due to a longer life and Hurricane resistance. I contacted a couple of local metal roofers, and Triple Crown Roofing (813-715-4617). I went with Triple Crown due to their many years of experience with installing metal roofs, and their value-oriented pricing. I got the most bang for my buck with them.... a better roof for a lower price. Their workers were very hard-working and did a great job, The Crew-Leader Ramon was very knowledgeable, and assisted with repairing a "Dead Valley" area that had a previous leak. When it comes time for your shingle roof replacement (mine was 15 years old), I highly recommend that you go with a new metal roof installed by Triple Crown Roofing, Plus they have the longest workmanship guarantee -- 10 years."

"Very prompt in contacting and remaining in touch. After estimate returned, was expecting to be called in few days to have date scheduled for repairs. Instead, 2 days after returning estimate (and on the weekend) someone from Destin Roofing knocked on our door. Said he had just finished a job nearby and thought he'd swing by to get started on our roof. Roof repaired over the weekend which was fabulous as this occurred just before heavy rains hit our area. Great job, great service, would definitely use them again and highly recommend."

"They did a great job as far as construction practices is concerned. Everybody worked really hard, and professionally. The crew was very respectful of homeowner and pleasantly polite. They did not smoke, did not yell at each other, or play the radio loud ( in fact they didn't have a radio at all). Carpentry work was precise, shingling work looks very even, systematic, and well done. It was a big job and lasted over a week. There was some roof debris left around - that was the only weak point - but I'm sure that if we had pressed the point, they would've been back to clean up a little bit more. The landscaping was a bit rough due to the house having been vacant & that may have contributed to the issue. All together, I think they are an honest company with a good work ethic. Their bid was within $500 of a more competitive company, which for the size of the job is pretty close. Well done! <br />"

"I could write a long explanation on Ron's quality of service but I am always sceptical of reviews. With Ron and his crew it is all top quality. The price is right and the work is exceptional. He says what he will do and he does exactly what he says. I would recommend Ron and his crew to everyone that's in need of a new roof."

"We have two six-foot wide sliding mirror doors for our upstairs closet that have never really slid easily in the nine years we’ve lived here. One of the wheels (that guide the door on a rail on top) broke making it near impossible to open or close. As a home-repair klutz, I knew better than to tackle a deceptively simple job like this. Replacing a wheel on a huge mirrored door – what could go wrong, right? So I called One Man and A Toolbox and asked for our favorite go-to guy – Henry. We’ve used Henry on so many jobs (see our other reviews), always with great outcomes and expert-level workmanship. Henry reasoned that if one wheel was bad, all four wheels most likely needed replacing. He was right. For the first time in nine years both mirrored panels now slide easy-peasy -- with the use of only a finger. Seriously."

FAQs for roofing installation & roof repair projects in Wausau, FL

An average Cape Cod roof-raising project requires approximately two to three months from start to finish. The timeline depends on several variables, including weather conditions, contractor availability, material delivery schedules, and the specific complexity of your home's structure. The process involves multiple phases, including demolition, framing, roofing, window installation, and interior finishing. Working with an experienced contractor who provides a detailed timeline can help set realistic expectations for the project duration.

While most Cape Cod homes can accommodate roof-raising modifications, each house requires individual structural assessment. Older homes may need foundation reinforcement or wall strengthening before supporting additional weight. Factors like the existing roof framing system, load-bearing wall placement, and overall structural integrity all influence feasibility. A qualified structural engineer should evaluate your specific property before proceeding with design plans. Additionally, local zoning ordinances may restrict maximum building height or architectural modifications in certain neighborhoods.

Temporary relocation is highly recommended during a Cape Cod roof raising project. The construction process involves removing portions of your existing roof, exposing interior spaces to potential weather damage, and creating significant noise and dust. Most homeowners find temporary accommodations for the two to three-month construction period, with relocation costs ranging from $2,000 to $6,000, depending on your housing choices. If staying with family or friends isn't possible, budget for short-term rental or extended-stay hotel expenses as part of your overall project cost.

Consider roof raising when you experience severely limited headroom throughout the second floor, find yourself constantly stooping under sloped ceilings, or have minimal usable floor space due to low ceiling heights. Other indicators include inadequate natural light, poor ventilation, and difficulty accommodating standard furniture in upstairs rooms. Simple renovations can improve an attic's appearance, but cannot create additional headroom without structural modifications. A complete roof-raising project makes more sense than cosmetic renovations if you're seeking genuine second-floor living space rather than just storage improvements.

Begin your search by seeking contractors with specific experience in Cape Cod structural modifications and dormer additions. Request detailed portfolios showing similar completed projects and ask for references from previous clients with comparable work. Verify that potential contractors hold appropriate licenses and insurance coverage and understand local building codes relevant to roof raising. Interview multiple candidates, comparing price quotes and their communication style, project approach, and proposed timeline. The ideal contractor should demonstrate a thorough understanding of Cape Cod architectural characteristics and structural requirements.
