"I have used Genes Plumbing many times over the past 15 years and he has proven to be trustworthy. He has fixed many plumbing issues for me but my most recent problem was a non flushing toilet. He replaced the "guts" of the toilet (the stuff inside the tank) and cleaned out some debris on of the flush holes in the front of the toilet bowl and it works great! Better than it ever has. It only took him about a half hour so I was pleased. He has also replace a kitchen sink, installed a garbage disposal, fixed a broken pipe and many other things over the years. He is the first and only person I call when I need a plumber."

"Back in 2013 we decided to get my mother a walk-in tub. Gary with Bath Innovations Walk-In Bathtubs & Remodeling did a great job. His team was on time, and took out the old tub and installed a walk-in tub . Other companies give us bids but we went with Gary's tub, not just for the lower price but the tub sold us. It's still running and looks great."

LOWE'S

"I use them all of the time. The people there are friendly, at least in the area that I am in. I choose to go to LOWE'S and I get a military discount when I go in there. The customer service is always very great when I go in there. They are always very helpful and the product is always as good or better than I expected. They are close by, they have great customer service, they have great products and I get a 10% discount. All of those things keep me coming back. They guarantee work if they do do work for you. I had them come out and do an estimate for a fence but I haven't had them do the work yet but they do guarantee their work and then if you are military you will get a discount for at least the materials. So, if you are going to get a project done you will get the materials cheaper than anywhere else and their labor is guaranteed."

"It went very well. After a bit of a wait, I received a very comprehensive report of 88 specific items as well as bacteria, fungi and particles. Each Item detected over the EPA drinking water limits had an explanation sheet. Also provided was a contact person at the company to address any questions you had about the report findings. I thought the service was well worth the $300 just for the peace of mind. I intend to use the company on an annual basis going forward."

"Paul, Bethany and the guys have been amazing. They were great to work with the entire time. Our project was large and covered numerous areas (construction, plumbing, electrical, flooring...), and we thought it was going to be a challenge to manage from out of town, as we live 5 hours away. Paul and Bethany gave us great confidence that they would take care of us, and made it very easy. They did everything we asked, on time, and on budget. They even fixed things we didn't think to ask about. When we asked about them, Paul just responded, "we were already working in that area, we're not going to ignore something just because it isn't in the contract". We feel like they treated our home like it was their own. We cannot recommended Laurie Kitchen and Bath highly enough. They are awesome. Feel confident when you work with them. Thanks."

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Waynesville, MO

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
