It was a complicated job because it involved structural elements. Monty clearly knows what he's doing and takes pride in his work. He ended up doing more than I'd asked for on his own initiative at no extra charge. My house is close to a hundred years old, so I am experienced in getting work done. I can't imagine that this work could have been done better, or cheaper by anyone else. Plus he seems like a nice guy. Hire him, you won't be sorry."

"They were very prompt and professional. They were very pleasant and I trust them completely. Their work was precise and the price was reasonable, given the excellence of the product and service. I did contact three other companies that do similar work and the reason I chose Hofer over the other three was because they were the most professional. In one case, one company was extremely rude and unprofessional. Another company, they didn't even have a website, so I wasn't able to see any of their accomplished work. A third company was pleasant, but they were always busy and went on vacation and requested I call them on the dates they come back. They eventually lost my phone number and never called, so I didn't pursue. My 4th contact was Hofer and I could sense they were the best and I now can tell! "Chris did a wonderful job. Very neat and clean. Most of all the work he does is perfect. We had him caulk, repair crack in a wall and replace smoke detectors. When he went to replace the batteries in our smoke detectors, he noticed that they were old and not going to be effective because of their age. He went to Lowes to purchase us new ones but said they wanted too much money for them and suggested that we order them through Amazon. We got on Amazon together and he pointed out the ones we needed. They were one third of the cost of Lowes! Our neighbors have also used Chris and had nothing but kudos for all the jobs he's done for them. I highly recommend him!"
