"I booked Mister Sparky through Home Advisor at which time I was showed an estimate of the work I needed to be done where I could pay upfront or not I opted not to pay upfront. I was contacted by Mister Sparky within 10 minutes the man scheduled a day and time for an electrician to come to my home to actually see what work needed to be done and he would do the work that day if I wanted it done if not I had to pay a $19.95 estimate fee. The electrician showed up on time he was nice he looked over the work I wanted to be done he gave me an estimate $250.00 over the estimate Home Advisor quoted me and I was supplying all the materials because I was going to do the work myself, but I could not due to a knee injury as I explained to the man when I scheduled the appointment. The electrician called his company explained the situation and stating that I booked them through Home Advisor at which time an estimate was quoted and then he changed the estimate to $41.00 higher then Home Advisor's estimate so I told him do the work. The electrician was thorough he cleaned up the debris after finishing the job. My advice to anyone is make sure you keep telling them you booked them through Home Advisor and how much the estimate was quoted by Home Advisor even though the company you book knows this because when they contact you they say I got your work request from Home Advisor. Just Beware!"

"The personnel working at home, for taking calls and appointments, continually had their televisions on. I had difficulty in hearing and understanding. In fact, one time the difficulty so bad due to the television, the operator was cancelling an appointment when I needed information. The electrician did a nice job, however, when taking off the boxes, left with passwords. Luckily, the passwords were eventually found, as I could not directly contact the electrician, only the above-mentioned customer service, who had their televisons on."

"I hired Mckinney Electric Services to install a new 240 volt 30 amp circuit with a particular outlet configuration for an electric pottery kiln. A small job but important to me. I received a call before arrival on the scheduled day and 30 minutes later work began. The two employees (Devin and Aaron) assessed the situation and recommended the routing they thought best. After ensuring the outlet was the correct configuration for the kiln plug they began work. The job was completed timely and professionally. The areas of the house involved in the installation were cleaned of all evidence that any work had been done. Devin and Aaron answered all my questions as the work progressed. "He was very fast and efficient. Took him only a few minutes to install. I then remembered I had an outside electrical outlet that was loose. He said no problem and had it fixed in 5 minutes. It works perfectly and is no longer a shock hazard. I tried to give him some extra money but he refused. He was very polite and said just one service charge. The charge of $ 75.00 was very reasonable. I have been shocked before and let the professionals do the work.
