"I needed the front of my townhouse painted, to include (6) shutters, a bay window above the garage door, the front door behind the storm door to include all caulking around the trim. While on the ANGI app, I requested a pro for a estimate and was promptly contacted by WILBER’s PAINTING, L.L.C. Wilber suggested a estimate date that met both of our needs and was “on-time” on the agreed date. The work was scheduled and the job was started within 5 days. The day before the scheduled start date, a two man crew arrived and power washed the front of the house. On the next morning, Wilber along with his skilled crew arrived promptly and completed the job within 8 hours. Wilber, met with his crew to verify all aspects of the job and to insure no miscommunications. All debris and, or trash was picked up when painting was completed and his workers went the extra step to include blowing off the area around the porch and driveway. I highly recommend Wilber’s Painting L.L.C. And will not hesitate to use him in the future for any and all interior/exterior painting jobs. "This is the second time I used Shalom Home Solutions for a painting job, after they did a good job on my rental. This job involves a four bedroom single family house with a finished basement, totaling 5166 sqft. The painting includes all interior surface and baseboards, with minor drywall repair and caulking. Amilcar and his crew did a very good job. They arrived early everyday around 7 a.m. and leave around 4 p.m. The cherry hardwood floors were covered with drop cloth and the railings were covered with plastic sheets. Some elaborate window treatment had to be taken down and put back. The house was cleaned up after the job was done. There was no damage in the process. It was completed on time. Amilcar was very communicative throughout the process, responding to my text message and email quickly. The only minor negative is when he brought in a few newer painters one day and their work was a bit rushed (not taping up the cherry shoe molding). Overall, I'm very happy with the quality of the work."

"Painters arrived exactly on time and accomplished all tasks the same day. The manually stripped the deck and applied two coats of stain. They carefully cleaned and then painted the foundation concrete as it had got dirty over the years. They also scraped, caulked and painted a large bump-out window off our living room.

Working with Mackay Roofing was such a pleasure, we are almost glad that our old roof developed a leak!  This family run company is dynamite.  Here's what happened:

Our tenants called us, near hysterics, because they awoke to a huge bubble in the ceiling caused by a roof leak dripping through the attic floor.  I contacted several companies, most from Angie's List, but Mackay stood out for a number of reasons.  First, while other companies wanted high fees to come out - just to look- on a rush job, Mackay agreed to get out there right away for a free consult.  Second, they took responsibility for calling our tenants and coordinating everything.  They arranged a time to be let into the house and also talked the tenants off the ledge, explaining to them that they could put a small hole in the bubble in the ceiling to help control draining and prevent a huge explosion of water when the bubble burst.  This great communication continued throughout the duration of the project, and Mackay diligently sent me status report emails (with photos!) keeping me in the loop while they used the tenants as the main point of contact on site. It was refreshing to find a company was so organized and had such initiative. Third, Ben Mackay took time to explain to me exactly what was going on with the roof that was there and what the options for repair were.  He struck me as being really trust worthy (as did his dad, brother, and sister in law!).  He said, among other things, that the craftsmanship on our roof looked excellent, but the materials used were lower mid-level and weren't designed to last forever.  This made sense to us because the house had been somewhat cheaply remodeled just before we bought it (10+ years ago). Ben gave me pricing to repair just the leak, as well as the option for a total repair (new roof).  I especially liked that he offered to credit the cost of the leak repair against a new roof if we weren't satisfied with the localized repair or it didn't fix things.  After price shopping a new roof with another company and speaking to a close friend in the real estate industry, we decided that we liked Mackay and that the price wasn't going to get beat.  We did a total new roof. 

The guys started and finished on time, the tenants loved them (I think "charming" was the word they used to describe the roof gang), and we couldn't be happier.  The icing on the cake?  I mentioned having to find a painter to fix the ceiling at the leak site, and MacKay Roofing offered to do the touch up for free since we had the paint! 

I don't think roofing experiences can get any better.  5 stars for MacKay!

After the job was completed the owner of FDC followed up to make sure we were happy with his work and to ensure there was nothing else required from him or his team.
