Trees larger than 6 inches in diameter are harvested and hauled away while the remaining trees, shrubs, stumps, etc. are processed with a mulcher head and left on the ground to provide a protective blanket of mulch which helps prevent erosion issues. The benefit of this process is that much smaller equipment can be used versus traditional clearing methods utilizing bulldozers, excavators, etc. The use of smaller equipment allows for selective operations and minimal impact to the land.\n
