"Of the three surveyors I contacted, Bill was the only one who seemed interested in the job. It can take him a few days (in one case almost a week) to respond, but he's fine with texting so there was no waiting around for a phone call or logging on to check e-mail. The quote was reasonable and clear, and his sense of when he could get the job in turned out to be pretty conservative: he'd said "the first couple of weeks in July" but he got to the property at the end of June and I had the survey maps in hand by July 5th. The work is old-school professional, as were all of our communications. I also thought the price was fair: the rate was reasonable, the hours made sense, he didn't bill me for putting in a rebar stake, and there was no trip charge. Overall I found working with Bill very easy once I figured out that he wasn't going to snap off a reply to every text the same day. (Other surveyors either didn't reply at all or strung me along and then said they didn't want the job.) I would definitely hire him again."

"I had them do an updated survey of my property. I was looking to expand my garage and the city needed documentation to prove lot lines and that I was within my limits. I have a home that was built in 1947 and I had no actual drawing of my lot. Rick was able to do the survey within a couple days of setting up the appointment. He went over and above to make sure my property was documented correctly. There was an issue on my lot of a public walkway. He researched the deeds of connecting properties. Only one showed that the public walkway was abandoned and divided between the 4 lots. I was then able to call my title company to officially change it on my title policy. Now I have updated documentation not only now for my new garage but if I sell in the future. This service was well worth the price."

"I was contacted by their office about a week after requesting a quote. They left a polite voicemail saying that my information had been submitted for quoting. The following week I received an e-mail from the surveyor letting me know that he was unable to quote my job because he was too busy. It was polite and suggested that if I couldn't find another surveyor I should call back in another month. Nonetheless, I felt this was sort of a brush-off since he could have quoted the job and then explained any scheduling problems (I am in no hurry and could have waited several months). Also, suggesting that a business of this sort which is too busy to schedule more work in June would be able to in July seems disingenuous. I'm guessing that my job just seemed too small to bother with... or perhaps this business prefers not to do business in Milwaukee."
