"If you want the best looking patio on your block then CD & Son Concrete Inc is who you need to call! We just recently had them pour our back patio and add concrete onto our driveway. From getting the quote to getting the work completed, the communication was top notch and very professional. The owner Dean walked me through every step and even made sure to lay wood down to protect our lawn! Dean also has the best concrete stamper around Chris! It was worth every penny for them to get this completed. Our kids and family love it already so much! The pictures of the patio says it all and they don't even give it justice the work that was put into it! I want to add that others have added concrete onto their driveways in my neighborhood, but ours is the only one that matches our driveway perfectly in color and texture! So I highly recommend them for all your concrete needs!"

"Five hours total. Everybody had a job and knew when to do it. Graded, disposed dirt and old gravel, added three inches of asphalt. Had to keep off of it for 24 hours and keep the cars off for two days. Still pleased two weeks later! We had two comparable quotes. Either one could have done the job well, but my husband chose Bloomington SEal Coat because they could get to the job sooner."

"It has been four days now since Arnold Asphalt graded, repaired and paved my washed out gravel driveway. I have a driveway approximately 1/8 mile long with a large area in front of the garage for turn around space and parking. On top of that my drive is mostly downhill to the house and winds through the woods. Today I am one happy camper. I definitely made the right choice hiring John Arnold and his crew. They are not only hard working professionals but artists as well. John went out of his way to allay any concerns I had including checking out the location the night before paving to make sure all was set to go. John proved that his word is his bond. I also cannot say enough good things about the crew of helpers. They were hard working, obviously experienced, polite and diligent in their work. After a nine hour day plus travel time the last of the job was installed as good as the first.. As far as I am concerned, Arnold Asphalt is the only paver around."

"We had a great experience with Sure Seal Restorations! we called Derek who returned our call right away. He came by at hours that were convenient to our crazy work schedules to show us the products that would be used and answered all of our questions prior to the work being done. It took very little time to get the roof replacement scheduled and the roof was replaced in one day. The crew was tidy, cleaned up everything and was kind to my plants and garden. The gutter team came another day and the gutter guard guys finished up the last day. Everything was left clean and the job was done beautifully. Derek even assisted us in picking a roof color because it was not an easy decision and it turned out nicely. He is now helping us find copper gutter guards for the two small copper roofs we have. I would recommend this company any day and I definitely recommend Derek F. thanks!!"

"I have hired him three times after the initial installer of my driveway screwed up pavement and would not honor his work. He always used the best materials and took care to fill cracks all the way. One very deep crack required numerous filling before it was full. Some contractors would hit it quickly or fill it with backer rod and then give it a quick coat. The cracks need to be properly sealed in order to keep water from destroying drive is what he told us. The top coating is cosmetic but the crack seal is what is needed. We have recommended him to all who want a drive sealed he also installs new drives and repairs asphalt."

"It started out fantastic, Ben was quick and responsive. The work he did was beautiful and I felt he was trying to give me the best deal.  However, my husband talked to him about the fact that the rise was too high for 2 steps and we needed 3 and he only put in 2 which made us fail our inspection so he had to come  put in 2 more (on him) but used the cheapest concrete (I know because I bought some to put in a mail box post) and the top layer is peeling off.  The first ones are gorgeous and we are happy with them, though he told me he would put in a drainage pipe under sidewalk but didn't so now our water is trapped in our garden bed. He stamped them and put a protective finish on them and they looked like slate.  I asked if he would do that to the new steps and he said he would do it Saturday or Sunday.  I told him it couldn't be until Late on Saturday and he said Sunday then.  It didn't happen Sunday and now it is raining all week so they aren't protected and are already peeling so have exposed aggregate but that is not our design.  It is supposed to look like slate and the new ones are so much darker than the other ones so they are like zebra steps. The peeling is just going to get worse with freezing and thawing as water can get in,  It took him a long time to come back for the fix, we had beautiful weather and he never came and didn't respond to my texts (usually very good at responding).  It usually took me checking in frequently to make sure things were going.  My advice, get several estimates, he does good work if he can do it in a couple of days. Texting works and then he will call you.  He did our driveway and  street sidewalk as well and these are great - no problems there.  I will say I always felt I could trust him to be there when I wasn't able to be.  I thought his price was fair, not amazing and I found out I could have gotten a better price had I shopped around a little. Also the rock fill that was put under my porch before Ben came was not the right kind (not his fault).  Another company was going to dig it up and put in a proper footer, Ben did not want to do this so he tied it into the house and put in rebar.  We have already had a huge cave develop under the porch which we keep filling with stone as it settles.  I hope his method holds because that would be expensive to fix.  I might consider him for flat work but he also took care of our landscaping and I definitely would never hire him for that - see different review.  I split up my reviews so I could sing praises on what was done well and critique what was not done well."

FAQs for concrete driveways & floors installation projects in West Baden Springs, IN

Polished concrete floors offer many benefits with very few drawbacks. While issues like discoloration, stains, or imprints may occur during pouring, these are rare when working with a skilled flooring contractor. Once polished, concrete floors are easy to maintain, long-lasting, and eco-friendly. They also resist mold and moisture, making them ideal for allergy-prone households, and offer versatile design options for both indoor and outdoor use.

Polished concrete flooring is often more affordable than tile. It involves lower material costs and less labor-intensive installation. Tile installations require additional leveling and preparation, which increases labor costs. Opting for concrete flooring helps reduce upfront expenses and provides a durable, stylish finish that saves money over time with minimal maintenance.

While epoxy flooring offers enhanced durability and toughness compared to polished concrete, it comes with higher material and labor costs. If budget is a top priority, polished concrete floors provide a resilient and attractive finish without the premium price tag, making them an ideal choice for value and long-term performance.

Polished concrete floors last 20 years or more when installed by licensed professionals and maintained with proper care. Their enduring finish withstands heavy use and remains visually impressive for decades. Regular deep cleaning and maintenance help safeguard the floor’s integrity, providing homeowners with a long-lasting, cost‐effective solution that endures daily wear without compromising style.

Polished concrete floors increase home value by offering a modern, sleek appearance and exceptional durability. A professionally installed floor not only enhances visual appeal but also minimizes maintenance expenses, making the property more attractive to prospective buyers. This flooring upgrade delivers a refined look while boosting overall market competitiveness and long-term property value.
