"They made an appointment, they came over, they came into the house and opened up the flute and they said they couldn't clean the chimneys today, because they needed tarps and vacuums, the chimneys were really bad. They asked if we hadn't done it in a long time, then they came back on another day to clean it. It was super convenient, the apartment building was empty, so they didn't mess up anything. I left themthe key, and they threw it back in the house when they left, and it was like they were never there. They had said that they think it was lined, and they called back to say that it was unbelievable, but it was lined and we could use it. I was so excited, and they said that it was an old house, so we should just have a small controlled fire. It was important to our tenant because they moved in from a huge house. I was very happy with A-Top. They didn't charge me in advance, because they said they didn't know how long it would take and if they would find dead animals. I trusted them, and it was great."

"He had come to give me an estimate for doing my bathroom downstairs. I did not use him because I had hired a contractor to put an addition in my house, to do the roof and my two bathrooms. It was $7000 to do one bathroom which included putting sheet rock in, painting and putting a floor. It did not include the fixtures like the shower, vanity or the counter top as they were extra. They were very pleasant. I know Tim Spain and he is the president of that company and he is a contractor and a roofer. About 15 years ago he did the roof for me and I was very pleased with it. They ripped up all the shingles and put a new one. He put circles in my sockets to vent my house and put vent thing on top of the roof. The only reason I didn't use him for handy man is the contractor that I hired here was more reasonable to do the bathrooms. Tim Spain does good work. He used to do roofing and siding at that time and now he builds houses, the whole package. At that time he charged $3700 to do the roof. He is very reliable and does what he says. He told me what he was going to do and he did it. He cleaned up very well after himself. He picked up shingles and ripped off the roof. He had a nice crew working for him and they were pleasant to work with. He himself is personable and at that time he worked with the crew. He picked up brown color to match the shutters and it was stunning. I would recommend him. At that time the price was reasonable. He is a nice guy and very pleasant. I was very happy."

"Phil walked through the large home/Band B with us, taking copious notes on repairs or upgrades to be done ... giving equally focused attention to each item on the list, no matter how cosmetically obvious or mundane most might have appeared. He gave us a professionally presented written price that was not just reasonable - it was very reasonable. He and Al came back, on the date and at the time agreed and put in two full 12 hour days with trim installation, painting, plumbing, installing a cement lip and believe me, plenty more. The time spent and attention to detail stunned us. Then each area addressed, when the work was done, was carefully cleaned up/swept and tarps were laid out to avoid foot prints ... I should interject that it rained the entire time they were outside digging dirt and pouring cement.
I would hire them again without hesitation and recommend them for jobs large and small. I was so pleased to have such incredibly competent and conscientious contractors in the area. This is a pages of happiness review (as soon as I find that button).

    Dana was the first of 3 contractors I contacted to get back to me within a day of my search.  He was pleasant and professional during our conversation and I asked if he would come to my house and give me an estimate.  He did, his estimate was reasonable so I asked for a contract. 

    Dana went above and beyond simply installing my new cabinets.  He informed me of some issues , how to resolve them, and gave me recommendations for other contractors I would need to complete my kitchen project.  He was prompt, his crew was friendly and they took care to not make more of a mess than was necessary.  They also cleaned up nicely afterward.

     I would surely go to Dana for any of my home improvements going forward and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, capable contractor.....which I can attest to are hard to find!
