"We used Quality Landscaping last year for our 1-1/2 acre property, and we were pleased with their service and pricing.  We've had two lawn treatments so far this year.  It seems their pricing may have increased since 2013, but we remain pleased with the service overall.  The first treatment missed some areas of the property, but the company was back out within a couple days of our contact.  The second treatment seems to have missed some spots as well, but nothing much, and it may be understandable that the sprayer was trying to avoid spraying our planting beds.  We completed the treatments ourselves in the missed spots, and Quality agreed to issue a credit for the chemicals we purchased.  Ultimately, I think the quality of the actual work could be a little more thorough, but the communication has been prompt and professional, and we plan to continue using Quality Landscaping into the foreseeable future. <br />"

"I HAVE WORKED WITH THIS COMPANY MANY TIMES IN THE PAST. MY YARD, WHICH IS EXTENSIVELY LANDSCAPED, LOOKS LIKE A PARK WHEN THEY ARE FINISHED. THERE IS NO PRESSURE TO DO 'TOO MUCH WORK' THEY CHARGE BY THE HOURS OF WORK PERFORMED AND THE NUMBER OF MEN/WOMEN IT TAKES TO COMPLETE THE TASK. THEIR STAFF IS EXTREMELY FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL! THEY ARE VERY POLITE AND WILL TALK TO YOU , BUT THEY NEVER STOP WORKING!!!!! THEY LOVE MY PETS AS WELL! THEY MAY BE A SLIGHT BIT PRICEY-HOWEVER THEY ARE WORTH EVERY PENNY--OUR LANDSCAPE LOOKS LIKE A PARK, IT MAKES ME HAPPY EVERY TIME I COME HOME!"

"Had a large (20 yards x 5 yards) old flower bed removed, and leveled to grade. Other companies quoted work to be almost double what Wedlands quoted. It was done in the spring, and since the flower bed was in the backyard, they needed to wait for things to dry out, so it took a little longer than I was hoping, but you can't control the weather. They called the week prior to let me know I was on the worklist for the following week (weather permitting). They then called the day before (Thursday) to let me know when they would be out the next day. It got to be later in the day (on a Friday) so I wasn't sure if they would be out or not. They called around 3pm and assured me they would be get it done that day. They arrived around 4, and worked quick and efficiently and were done by 5:30. They put down mats and plywood to save my front lawn. Once they left you didn't even know they were there. Very impressed with their work. <br />"

FAQs for lawn care aeration projects in West Bend, WI

Aeration is the best way to keep your lawn healthy and vibrant. Annual aeration makes your lawn more breathable and helps nutrients reach the roots, improving water absorption and reducing puddles where pests might breed. However, timing matters. It's best to avoid aerating during droughts, extreme heat, or if your lawn is battling weeds. A local pro can help you determine the ideal time for your yard.

Most lawns benefit from annual aeration to keep them healthy and thriving. If your lawn has a lot of thatch buildup—more than half an inch—you might need to aerate twice a year for a couple of years to get it under control. But if your soil isn't compacted and there's minimal thatch, you might be able to skip a year.

When you hire a professional lawn care company, a standard 10,000-square-foot lawn takes about 30 minutes to aerate. Uneven, sloped, or especially large lawns can take significantly more time. So, depending on your lawn's size and condition, the process can take anywhere from half an hour to several hours.

The best time to aerate your lawn is during the spring or fall when your grass is actively growing and the soil has enough moisture. Aerating once in the spring and once in the fall yields the best results. Avoid aerating when your lawn is dormant or right after heavy rain when the soil is too wet—that can make aeration less effective.

Even if your lawn looks healthy, aeration can still be beneficial. If you have good growth, proper drainage, and little thatch, you might not need to aerate right away. Regular aeration helps water and nutrients reach the roots, keeping your lawn strong over time. Keep an eye on your lawn's condition to decide when it might need aeration.
