"I am disabled and low-income. I used this service in the past but was not satisfied with the arrangements we agreed on; they weren't able to provide monthly maintenance after the initial deep-cleaning. I also asked them NOT to clean certain areas which I could do myself using my own non-toxic cleaning materials. They were very professional and very expensive, but I won't be able to use them again."

FAQs for post construction clean up projects in West-boothbay-harbor, ME

Plan on one hour of cleaning for every 100 to 200 square feet. That means a two-to-four-person crew will spend eight to 12 hours on a full-size home.

Your pro will walk the space first, size it up, and give you a more precise timeline to be sure every lofty ceiling, baseboard, and tight corner gets the same white-glove attention.

Cleaning fine dust after construction requires a combined approach of detailed dusting and high‐powered vacuuming. Begin by wiping high surfaces such as ceiling fans, walls, window sills, and countertops to eliminate deposited particles. Next, vacuum all floors, carpets, and hard surfaces and mop afterward to remove residual dust. Finally, clean HVAC returns, supply vents, and replace filters to ensure a completely dust‐free environment.

You’ll need safety gear and heavy-duty tools. At minimum, you should wear a respirator, eye protection, and work gloves. Then, bring in a HEPA-filter shop vac, wet mops, microfiber cloths, and a carpet shampooer to lift dust from every surface.

Pros also keep extra filters and trash bags on hand so they can swap them out mid-job and keep the cleanup running smoothly from start to finish.

Book your post-construction cleanup for one to two days after the last tool leaves the site. That 24- to 48-hour buffer lets dust settle so the crew can snag every speck in one visit.

Touch base with your contractor before you lock in a date; if their punch-list slips, you’ll want to shift the cleaning slot to avoid costly rescheduling and make sure the house is truly move-in ready.
