"Horrible experience. Mr. Cattani started out like a professional -- but then proved to be highly unreliable. We were subjected to cancellations, unkept promises, no communication, and no work done on our job after 4 months of waiting He gave us a quote for a simple one-day job on June 17 and, after getting one more estimate, we agreed to his offer. It is now the end of October, and Mr. Cattani has not found the time to get to us. He cancelled twice, the first time for a family issue and the second because he got shingles. We understood both times, and we were okay with him needing 2 weeks to get well. After 4 weeks and no word from him, we emailed. He said he was back to work and would contact us next week to reschedule. He lied. When we contacted him, he said he had a family issue and work-related problems but that he would get to us in a week or two. He also said: I completely understand if you choose not to use me but would still love to earn your business. So we decided to give him another chance. Well, he did not get in touch and he did nothing to earn our business After waiting and waiting for him to respond, we emailed, requesting a firm date. No answer. We sent a last email to cancel the job. Not a peep. If our job was too small and he preferred bigger, more lucrative jobs, then he should have told us to try someone else. Caveat emptor!"

"I have used this contractor several times. To patch plaster, pant walls install molding, rip out granite facing on fire place and build a new mantle for the fire place, to name a couple of items. He is an amazing craftsman. I have used him to correct the poor work done by a contractor we used when we gutted and reconstructed the house. The owner really looks at the problem and solves it in the most efficient and cost effective way. He came highly recommended by my neighbor and I totally understand why. He is also extremely neat so when he is done there is no additional cleaning to do."

"Scheduled fireplace insert three times over 6 months. First time canceled due to emergency. Second time canceled same day because did not have the insert (so scheduled work twice without actually having insert)..Today, scheduled for after 2 PM work. No show. No call. No response. If they happen to come, will update review Currently, Flue Tech appears to be just a big joke. Would not trust them to clean my floor, much less fix something that could burn your home down."

"Their warranty, customer support and overall communication with the end user is terrible. I have a 4 panel bay window that every seal is blown in on the front of my home. It was installed around 5 years ago and the seals went bad almost two years ago. They still haven’t received replacement panes. I even offered to share the cost of a whole new unit because my kids cant even see out of the window anymore. They have done every window and some doors in my home. They have no problem selling you something, but if you ever have a problem, they fall EXTREMELY short of even bad. And forget trying to get a supervisor on the phone or email you. They put in the notes that they called and left a message but I have never gotten one. Buyer beware."
