"Leo and his team completed their second job I hired them to do at our home. The first job was last fall. They regraded an acre in the backyard for proper runoff and repaired a 2 year old paver patio that was not done properly the first time. Always on time, good communication, and above all, a job done right. I invited them back this spring to grade the front of the property and customize the drainage that flows under the driveway. Another job done right and on time. They work hard and are worth every penny."

"We had our rather long driveway prepped, rip rap installed, and entire thing paved by New England ABC. The total project was three full days worth of work. Jason and his crew are hard workers! Very prompt when arriving at the job site and stayed until about 530 working their tails off. No wasted time. Very knowledgeable and provide a high quality product. The quote was spot on to final price and it was impressive how everything was itemized so we knew exactly what we were paying for. The only complaint is we did not agree on a firm **finish by** date and the paving kept getting pushed due to other projects getting in the way (they are very busy because they do such a great job!) but we were not on any restrictive time table so we could wait- we were just so excited to see the final product and are SO happy with how it turned out."

"We are 100% delighted with what we call our new "living area" and the work completed by Rotten Rock.  Our initial inquiry in the dead of winter was replied to the same day and a site visit almost immediately.  Henry from Rotten Rock listened to our ideas (a lot of the inspiration came from other work Rotten Rock highlighted on their Facebook page) and helped us see how a natural bluestone patio would fit into our rustic country setting.  The quote arrived promptly and we contracted the work, which began in earnest in the Spring of 2015.  The job lasted about 3 weeks and the team performing the work were prompt, courteous, hard working and always did what they could to clean up at the end of each day...we could see the progress because they did so.  They took any suggestions we had along the way (which weren't many) and answered all our questions.  They were accommodating of the other contractors - and even installed all the underground conduit for the electrician - and offered to help with the hot tub installation.  The attention to detail of the stone work is impressive and we are pleased to know that unlike the ugly old deck that we never used, we'll have an area that will last a lifetime (we have already spent more time in our backyard in the past two months than we did the previous 5 years we owned the house!).  We were away for part of the installation but was kept informed via email from the office, which again, was always responsive.  We would highly recommend Rotten Rock for any hardscaping and/or tree work (they removed a few trees for us a few years ago too) and would use them again without hesitation. <br />"

"For the past two years, it?s been extremely frustrating as a property manager dealing with so many workers doing the bare minimum, lacking dependability and quality in their services. It?s truly a breath of fresh air to have found someone who takes pride in their work and goes above and beyond to get the job done.  John has all the qualities of a very valuable contractor and good character ? honest, reliable, professional, and offers quality work at reasonable prices.  <br /> Thanks John and crew for all of your help getting through this long, snowy winter.  We look forward to doing lots of business with you in the future! <br /> <br />"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in West-newfield, ME

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
