"Paul and his team were extremely professional, meticulous, easy to work with, and kind. They arrived early each day, put in long hours, and paid attention to details that even I had not noticed! They went above and beyond to make our house look like a brand new home— from carefully caulking cracks, painting window shutters and the garage and front door columns too. Paul checked in with questions along the way that showed how conscientious he is— from painting an exterior AC unit (an eyesore previously) to the exterior foundational wall color selection and even removing gunk around a basement window— he took his time and the work was thorough and beautiful. We requested that he strip paint from one of the columns holding up our deck to match the other columns and the result is amazing— looks exactly like the others. On top of all this, the team got the job done in great time! Not at all rushed but impressively efficient. I can't recommend Olde English Painting enough. Our historic pre-Civil War property required the TLC that the Gold Painting crew delivered. Minor carpentry (above and beyond expectations), thorough power-washing, scraping, priming (oil) and top coating (Sherwin Williams Duration latex), and meticulous clean-up. Both parts of the ambitious two-part project (front of the barn (rustic red) & street-facing side of the house (extreme white) + painting and hanging 13 solid wood shutters-satin black); driveway-facing side of the house that required covering many windows) + painting the front door were completed in just four days. As an unexpected but highly welcome bonus, Tony had Nelci and Milton paint the front porch decking. I solicited quotes from five contractors and my wife and I are more than delighted with the flawless result. There’s nary a space that he didn’t touch—walls, ceilings, trims, doors, hearth, cabinets, window sills, steps, radiator covers, basement—he covered the whole nine yards. They also patched holes in our walls and ceilings, and sanded and finished our stairs. Everything looks seamless, and absolutely gorgeous. If we had to do it all over again, we wouldn’t hesitate to ask him back. Aside from being an A-plus painter, Barry’s also a delight to work with.
