They were very professional , punctual and neat- cleaning up at the end of each day. We are very pleased with the wall as it is both functional as well as attractive . We are having them back in the spring to landscape the wall for which they have given us a very professional blueprint of the planting locations and description. We are excited to now have a local landscaping company to help us with all our landscaping projects!

"Sawyer Services was prompt with an estimate, on time to begin and on time to complete the job.  The crew was very, very good and worked hard the entire time they were on site.  Since it was not possible to get their truck into the backyard where the work was being done, the crew had to haul all the branches and cut wood around to the house to their truck by hand.  I was really impressed with the climber's skill at climbing the trees, rigging safety lines and swinging from the top of one to the top of another big tree, to safely and efficiently complete the high level clean-up.

"We started out contacting one of the contractors with a high number of good reviews but we did not get any response.  We have previously received a card in the mail from Highgarden but found no reviews on Angie?s List.  Since they are local we decided to call them.  They returned my call almost immediately and we scheduled a meeting the following week.
Russ was very present to deal with and promptly responded with a quote and job description after the meeting.  He did not try pushing unnecessary work.  After a second meeting to clarify some of the items we agreed to have Highgarden do the work.  He asked for a deposit to buy the granite which I thought was reasonable.
Russ started the job on time even though we've told him we are not in a rush.  The materials that he used were top notch.  His work was excellent and he delivered everything we agreed to plus more.  He did the job himself and he kept the site clean every day.  He responded to our only ?dislike? promptly and took action to ?fix? the issue.  He completed the job on time.
I will recommend Highgarden to anyone looking to have high quality landscaping work done.  Do not be misled by the lack of reviews. Russ is a straight shooter and Highgarden was excellent with communicating with their customers.

"They were always on time and very friendly. However i am not sure they are licensed for all that they say they are. I had them install 3 water heaters I purchased from Home Depot and one of them did not work, the plumber came back out and said it was not his fault, I called the manufacturer who told me the warranty was void because a permit was not taken out for the install.  Perfection finally replaced the non-working water heater but I am now left with 3 water heaters with voided warranties because they never took out the permitst. Our basement floor is not level and we were left with a lot of the clean-up after each project. Instead of a cement truck they brought pallets of quick-rete and mixed it in our back yard using our hose and water. We were told that the old concrete patio would be removed and rebar and cement would be installed, instead they simply covered the cracked patio with a thin layer of cement. The main waste line replacement was not done correctly and caused leaking from the first floor bathroom. Everything seemed great at first, on time, on budget, and very responsive. However looking at each project now, I would not hire them again."

"rating based on pricing only. lawn fertilizing services still to be performed. i signed up for service in early april (i am in boston suburbs) and got a very good deal at $35 per fertilization visit or lime application visit and $50 per grub control. the competition offered at least $50 per visit for fertilization or lime, plus a lot, lot more for grub control. i got the discounted pricing by signing-up through servicemagic -- a supervisor called me directly and offered the price w/o lawn inspection and regardless of lawn size. i know a friend who got a quote directly from trugreen's website, but ended up getting a $50 price per visit."
