"Signed contract on May 8 for deck build.On May 12 rep came to my office to collect deposit of apprx $13,000. He said project team meeting on Wed & would update me then on start date etc. On Fri May 16 I had to reach out to him. He wrote the team had met & materials were ordered. An hour later he wrote back that he was misinformed & that his boss was going to call me next week. Despite this, dep check cashed. On Mon 5. 20 rep wrote back that they had forgotten certain costs & to proceed it would be $8,000 more. Not a typo. $8,000 more. No apology. Ridiculous, contract rescinded. I wrote that he could return my deposit at my office just as he had collected it. On Wednesday the 21st I got a text from "Tom," presumably the owner/boss, saying he would "drop a check in the mail" to my address. Today is May 30th, Friday, and still no check. Check at a minimum should have been overnighted. They owe me interest not to mention the deposit to hire a contractor who will honor contract. Bad."

We hired Clukey Construction to demolish an old 12x34 ft deck with screenroom area and build a new 12x18 ft deck, as well as frame and install a new exterior door just inside our bulkhead door in the basement, and install a new bathroom exhaust fan and vent it through the roof. The estimate Shawn provided was thorough, accurate, and fell right within the range this type of project should cost. He kept in contact with us from beginning to end and made sure that we were well informed throughout the entire project. Shawn and Neil are extremely professional and hard working. They were onsite everyday as long as weather permitted until the job was complete. Everyday they made sure our property was tidy and safe before leaving. Their attention to detail is impeccable, every cut is precise and fits together tightly. Shawn answered all our questions and was always timely in responding to us. I can't say enough positive things about Clukey Construction and we will definitely be calling them for future projects."

"It was a horrible experience, they put on the three screen doors, one which was put on backwards and two do not fit the frame of the doors with broken pieces underneath the screen. Both ceiling jobs turned out like crap, cabinets were adjusted but went back to being loose a couple days later. Our daughter s door was installed ok, the pieces of wood to make the frame or not even sanded down before painted. The door gets stuck now because of improper measurements."

"Proceed with caution using Blaine. He will tell you exactly what you want to hear and follow through on none of it. He makes an excuse for everything. It has been 1.5 years since we had him do our bathroom. Not finished: ceiling insulation never done, light switch replacement never done. we have one switch for multiple lights (needs 2) and now lights are flipping from normal light to blue. Issues since remodel (all within 6 months of job): sink leaking due to no silicone chalking (came back 4x but never figured it out. had to fix myself), tub leaking (had to call a plumber to fix +$300), closet door installed wrong; split door frame (unusable), shower tiles scratched during install; still put them in, shower tile around faucet has cracked, entire tiled floor installed wrong (popping/pinging/cracking), threshold has split. His tile guy came back and said "Oh well it happens". He also promised to fix all issues and now has decided not to answer my calls or texts. Go elsewhere."
