"I really liked John from the start, he is a very nice guy. He showed up in clean painters clothing (uniform) and was very professional. He listened to all of the details of the multiple jobs I wanted done and asked appropriate questions about each. <br /> I was concerned as my deck had been stained previously by someone who was not good at staining and had left it looking very spotty and really different colors by their uneven product distribution. He acknowledged the problem and assured me he would do what ever it took to fix it. <br /> He gave me a quote that I felt was reasonable and we set a start date. <br /> The weather was not in our favor and the outside jobs had to get set back multiple times. However, he finished the inside work the next day after hiring and kept me informed of his intentions as the weather permitted (never disappeared). <br /> The work he did was very good the deck looks great. <br />"

"He came promptly as planned, gave us his estimate, and spent about a half hour going over the details of the solution he uses for powerwashing and the kind of stain and sealer he uses for the deck. He mailed me the figures and asked me to contact him if we were interested in hiring him. We had several other estimates done. We decided to go with him largely because of how much time he took with us to tell us how he would do our house and because he did the staining and sealing of the deck himself. Not all the powerwash people do that. He came as planned, did a beautiful job with the powerwashing and came back a few days later to do the staining and sealing. We negotiated a few extras on the spot and he did not charge me extra, which I appreciated. He showed obvious pride in the nice job he and his helpers did and photographed the project as is went along. I am thrilled by how much better everything looks! <br />"

"What has impressed me most about RE-Construction is the women that work there. Every transaction and conversation that I experienced with the office was made pleasant with kindness and knowledgeable understanding of the roofing process. I heard about RE-Construction when a young salesperson came to my door. That was fortuitous since I knew that my house urgently needed a new roof. An appointment was set and verified over the phone with the office at RE-Construction for an estimate. Once we had the estimate RE-Construction was helpful with the process of filing an insurance claim to get the roof put on. The team of roofers were very efficient and used a gentle touch on my historically old house. They were led by a woman, which left me feeling great, because her influence of care and attention was palpable during the entire process. She led from the ground and fed the shingle packets up to the roofers using an electronic lift that was attached to a ladder. I liked the sound of it. It was amazing to watch the machine zip! It was very efficient. I felt safe and sound while the roof was put on and afterwards the team did a fine job of cleaning up. They left their trailer overnight, since they finished the roof at sunset, and returned for it in the morning to double check on the cleaning up and to gather all of their equipment. Every step of the way Re-Construction took care with my case and improved my home with a new roof. I have since, through the mail, received a warranty for the new roof, a thank you card, and a birthday card. What a great touch! I recommend Re-Construction as a solid and good place to get a roof put on with care."

"A roofing crew was able to come by during the home inspection to look at the roof. Because it is a slate roof, they were not able to climb onto it, but they did take a ladder around the house to get as close a look as possible. After emailing me a copy of the quote, Bill called me himself to explain everything in detail. Moreover, he pointed out issues that we had not considered to ask to be repaired in the sale process such as flashing, caulking and gutter drainage.  <br /> Even though we did not contract them for service, I'll definitely call them when the time comes to replace our roof. "<p>We had two people recommend this company.  One was our realtor and we believed she wouldn't steer us wrong because if we ever decided to sell this house (we won't), I'm sure she'd like to be our realtor again.  We checked them out on Angie's List and a few other sites.  I also saw some work they did at a hair salon.  The pictures on their website of work they've done are wonderful.</p> <p>This house was built in 1865 and is 3600' square feet.  The wallpaper was literally falling off the walls and the carpets were in horrible shape.  CHR wanted to maintain the integrity of the house as much as we did.  There simply aren't words to express how thrilled we are with the results so far.  Everything they've finished is far, far above what we expected.  It's hard to believe this is the same house we walked into the first time.</p> <p>We are also having them glaze the kitchen cabinets, paint the tin ceiling, and replace the countertops not to mention building a master suite from scratch.</p> <p>Not only are these people complete professionals, they're just as nice as can be.  Stop reading this and go call them for an estimate.</p> <br />"
