"We met the contractor in the spring for him to survey the job and provide an estimate. He was highly recommended by others in our neighborhood. He provided an estimate but was unable to predict precisely when he would be able to do the job; he indicated a wait of about 4 months. We decided to wait for him because he had been highly recommended. Over the next few months, our area received a lot of rain, which delayed the project further but it was not especially urgent for us, so we waited. Eventually, the contractor started the job in late August. His crew was dilgent and professional. They were well equipped with the appropriate machinery and equipment and completed the job to a very high standard in slightly over 2 weeks. Then, trying to find someone who does everything we wanted: granite steps, faux stone facing and sides, white railings, and the ability to tear up and lower my walkway then redo it to make the first step 7” was an even bigger challenge. He was kind, communicated the next steps with us well, and the quality was fantastic.
