"Very well; great price...almost 1/2 what everyone else in RI and southern MA quoted me for the job. They graded area, built forms, poured gravel base and then concrete, then stamped and stained. Came back removed forms and cleaned up area. Friendly and worked in between repeated rain storms over 2 weeks to get done."

"We hired the group to dig up a large area of bamboo and take a tree down. They were the only group I could find that would take on the bamboo removal. A back hoe was used to dig up the bamboo and I think the job was done fairly well. However, The roots were largely not removed so the bamboo came back up in full force after a month. Bamboo is difficult to eradicate, so we expected this. My main complaint is regarding the payment. They did not accept credit cards and although they accepted checks, they would not accept my out of state check. They did not want to wait 2 days for my check to clear. It was suggested that I could pay at Walmart, which I was not willing to do. The final solution, after much discussion was a Venmo payment, not to the company but to a specific person who I never met. I requested a receipt with the company name on it and never received it. I have hired numerous contractors for various reasons over the past 30 years and have never experienced such a problem over payment. This experience was bizarre. I would not hire them again."

Paul a ( Veteran THANK YOU) took time away from his own sons birthday party to complete my project for my family. Even though Paul does not serve is a Military Uniform he continues to serves America. I am honored to have met him and honored to have him worked with me. He is patient, smart and a true master at his craft. We build an out door Bar that Paul completed the veneer. On a scale of 1-10- 11+. Looks beautiful. There is no higher recommendation I can provide for another person. If you want the best quality for you home. Paul is worth the wait! "Josh and his crew were the most responsive of all contractors we spoke with from initial outreach through completion. They listened to what we wanted then used their experience to make cost neutral suggestions that made the finished product better than our original plans. They also took the job without hesitation or an outrageous price increase despite having to dig the area by hand and manually haul the concrete from the street to the back yard. These guys WORKED and their price was significantly lower than the competition. Would definitely hire again."

"My wife and I selected Dana Nilson and his company SDC for modular home construction after interviewing and pricing "stick built" contractors and "wall system" contractors. For us, modular made the most sense because the project could be completed in half the time of a stick built house, was more cost effective than either a stick built or wall system, and will result in a higher HERS (Energy Efficiency) rating than either of the other approaches. Dana helped us design our home, plan the grading as the site has a large hill, work with us on the budget, handle the permitting and inspections, coordinate with Westchester Modular Homes, and act as Project Manager. He has a great sense of what works, especially for a home near the ocean, and a practical approach to solving the challenges that inevitably arise with new home construction on an unimproved lot. Dana also designed and constructed a porch and a two room addition on-site after the modular "boxes" were delivered and set. If I you chose the modular approach, we strongly recommend visiting actual modular houses to understand the true inside dimensions of each "box". It's hard to get a sense of the space from drawings alone. One other item to think about is including insulation between the first and second floors for noise reduction in addition to the insulation "envelope" around the house. Spend time getting the design and drawings right. Dana provided 3D images/renderings to help visualize the finished product. Once the design is accepted by the modular builder changes are very expensive or impossible. While we have all heard horror stories about contractors, our experience with Dana has been excellent. He does what he promises within the time frame he promises. He communicates often and well. During much of this project, I was out of the country and Dana arranged Project Reviews and drawing reviews using conferencing software over the Internet. He also installed a webcam so I could follow the construction progress remotely. In summary, a great experience with an experienced, knowledgeable, honest, and professional contractor. Highly recommended!"
