"Exceeded all expectations! Have had A & L Lawn Care do this work twice this season. Mike and his crew are fast, efficient and totally professional. A & L Lawn Care to me represents the best possible combination of MODERN technology and TIMELESS values. They take pride in a job well done and aren't satisfied until YOU are. They're very busy (another indication of their excellence), but immediately return calls, and are reasonable and flexible in scheduling; I can personally attest they are well worth waiting for!"

"Can not thank the guys at H&H Property Management enough! Not only did they fix my lawn where my old snow plow guy tore up, they also made my grass the greenest on the street! After meeting with Justin (owner/operator) the first time I knew I was in good hands. He was very professional and has a great attention to detail. After going over the plan of repairs, Justin pointed out the terrible crab grass in my yard that spread more and more every year. He suggested a process of chemical treatments and seeding. That following Monday Justin and his crew who were nothing less than professional and friendly, got right down to business. After just a few weeks I noticed a beautiful turn around in my lawn. Nothing but top quality work from H&H Property Management, and am happy to have them as my new year around landscape and snow removal company."

"The workers worked hard and were quite efficient. They did more than I expected. With leaves gone, beds cleared, shrubs trimmed, and mulch, the garden and yard look tremendous. They also put fertilizer on the lawn and gave me instructions when to water it. We have a small yard, and a team of 5 finished the work in 2 hours."

Customers say: Quick response

"Got a call immediately after inquiring about his services. His price for the type of job he did was fantastic. I had a ton of leaves, and in one morning, they were gone. He also will prepare the lawn for the winter. I'm looking forward to using him in the spring to get my yard ready for some outdoor fun!"

"Mr. Tavarez does excellent work. He was on site every day, and once begun, he and his crew completed our project on time and as promised. They took careful measurements and noted my concerns about reconstructing our driveway. He checked in with me regularly about any changes or modifications he had to make along the way; so, there were no surprises. I found his pricing fair and workmanship excellent. I highly recommend him."

FAQs for lawn care maintenance and mowing projects in Westwood, MA

Hiring a professional saves you time and can actually save you money in the long run. Without regular care, your lawn might develop problems like thatch buildup, diseases, or pests, which can be expensive to fix. A pro keeps your lawn healthy, so you can enjoy it without the hassle.

Mowing your lawn yourself is generally cheaper than paying someone to do it. While a lawn mower can cost between $80 and $2,500 depending on the type, professional mowing services charge between $30 and $80 per visit. Investing in your own mower means that over time, you can save money by handling the mowing yourself, especially if you maintain your lawn regularly.

While the wording may vary from company to company, lawn maintenance typically includes all the services that keep your current healthy lawn looking sharp. Think mowing, watering, weeding, and a spring or fall cleanup.

Lawn care digs a bit deeper. These packages may include services that elevate your lawn's health or address an issue throughout the year. Fertilization, pest and weed control, and dethatching all fall into this category.

There is no set-in-stone schedule for mowing your lawn, as each grass variety grows at a different rate depending on the season. Once you determine the type of grass in your lawn and its ideal height, aim to remove no more than the top third of the blade at a time to retain its healthy structure.

In the high growing season, this will likely break down to about once a week, which is why lawn care specialists often offer weekly plans.

Don’t mow your grass if it hasn’t grown more than one-third of its height since you last cut it. For example, if you want grass no more than 2 inches, don’t mow it until it’s 3 inches. Don’t cut your grass when wet, as it clumps together and places more stress on your mower’s blades and makes it harder for the sun to reach the turf. This can lead to mold or disease. Conversely, don’t mow when it’s too dry. But, if you do, be sure to raise your mower’s deck height by about half an inch to encourage slower growth.

Yes, landscaping can significantly add value to your home. High-quality landscape design offers a return on investment of 20% to 30%. A well-maintained lawn and attractive outdoor spaces enhance your property's curb appeal and market value, making it more appealing to potential buyers when you decide to sell.
