"LVMC responded to my request the same day I made it and were out here within 2 days to provide an estimate. It only took a few weeks for the work to begin after approving the quote and the crew completed a compete deck teardown and rebuild in 3 days. They operate a very skilled and professional crew and I would be more than happy to use their services again."

"Well the guy was suppose to get back to me with a quote and basic design but never got in touch with me again. It also seemed like we talked more about financing (they do internal financing) then we did about the actual addition. Definitely was a turn off but I did not write them off until they never contacted me again. <br />"
Front view of the covered wrap around porch, with white porch railings and columns. The lattice work below the porch helps to give a backdrop for the shrubbery.
Exterior view of the in-progress attached garage addition build. As you can see, the necessary siding was removed from the existing home so we could attach the garage build.
Overall view of the newly constructed back deck, which leads to the now covered patio area, via the spiral staircase.
Front view of the log cabin entry room addition highlights the stunning front door with dual sidelights.
Back view shows how much the new build towers above the existing one-story homes in the neighborhood.

"We lived out of town and Sam handled a lot of problems for us that he didn&#39;t have too. He also took time to help us pick out different appliances and fixtures. Helped us with ideas for a laundry room when others said it couldn&#39;t be done. His sub contractors did a good job for the most part. Needed some minor follow up on some work."

"From the beginning Ely was extremely professional and upfront about service and cost. I had a problem on my end causing me to cancel and Ey was extremely accommodating. I then needed the service for another vehicle so immediately contacted Ely. The service was extremely quick and exactly as promised. I would highly recommend United Freight to anyone transporting a car, particularly between FL and NY."

"Working with Zack and Scott was great! Even thought this was all done online and over the phone they were accommodating time wise, and even when I asked to include my father on the conference call they were happy to allow him to chime in as well. We started out with a brief consultation describing what they would do, the cost and what we could expect.  Then we did a call where we measured our basement, this was a little tricky as we needed 2 people to do this and we had to tell them our exact measurements, but they made sure we were measuring correctly and that everything added up the way it should, and they took into consideration every nook, cranny and pipe.  Then we meet briefly with Scott to discuss a preliminary layout, how many bedrooms, closets, TV location, bar vs. buffet, couch size that sort of thing. Scott was very knowledgeable and even accounted for bed sizes to make sure there would be enough walking space around any furniture we would want to add.  Then Scott presented us with a final design, this is when he gladly allowed my father to ask questions and get details about the project.  He answered all of our questions about location or outlets, and lights, and even some more detailed questions.  Overall we had a great experience and I really enjoyed working with them.  They listened to us (definitely the most important thing) when we didn't want something they took it out or if we did want something they added it (if they could), they explained why they had made some design choices we weren't as sure about so we could understand why they were important or if we really wanted to do them. <br />"

"We were in need of an emergency service call late on a Saturday (just before a holiday) at a commercial location. We had a machine that suddenly malfunctioned, and we needed a full diagnosis of the electrical components and wiring before deciding to order a new motor for a commercial machinery, and we needed this done quickly. Thomas Edison was able to accommodate us and sent a technician within a few hours. The tech who arrived was very professional, knowledgeable, polite and respectful of our property and situation. He came prepared and tested every electrical component. He fully understood what the business owner knew and didn't repeat any of the tasks and tests that were not necessary and went right to the source of the issue. He clearly explained everything he did and did an exemplary job of breaking down how he came to his diagnosis. Overall, it was one of the best commercial service call experience I've ever had. The service tech really knew his trade and I never, at any point, felt like I was being duped as is often the case when dealing with emergency commercial service calls. He cleaned up the area as best as he could and prepared the wiring nicely to make it easier for us to replace the motor. This situation could have been a lot worst, but we were able to get the machine back up and running with minimal down time and Thomas Edison played a huge part in this."

FAQs for remodel to accommodate a disability projects in Wilkes Barre, PA

Standard Medicare coverage often doesn't extend to home modifications, such as roll-in showers. In specific circumstances where medical necessity is clearly established, limited coverage might be available through certain Medicare programs. Many homeowners explore alternative funding sources such as home modification grants, veterans' benefits, or specialized financing programs designed for accessibility improvements. Consulting with a Medicare representative about your specific situation provides the most accurate guidance.

Roll-in showers deliver significant benefits beyond their monetary return, particularly in terms of safety, independence, and long-term accessibility. By eliminating barriers to bathing, these installations help prevent falls while accommodating mobility devices, such as wheelchairs or walkers. Their open design creates a contemporary appearance that appeals to many homebuyers. For households planning to age in place or accommodate family members with mobility challenges, the functional advantages often outweigh pure financial considerations.

A standard roll-in shower installation takes two to four days. Projects requiring extensive renovation or plumbing changes may take longer, potentially extending to several weeks or months. Factors affecting the timeline include existing bathroom configuration, permit processing times, contractor availability, and material delivery schedules. Creating proper drainage slopes often requires additional preparation time compared to traditional shower installations, particularly when modifying existing floor structures.
