"I could not be happier with the work done at my 1900 sq ft townhouse. In just one and a half days, all interior walls and trim were painted. They were in poor shape but now the place looks brand new. I'm just thrilled that I chose Xtreme Painting and will definitely hire them again for my next painting project."

"All-Pro Painting was, by far, the best! From the initial meeting with Chad, who explained the entire process and what to expect, to the crew who did the work, it was all amazing. Highly recommend them!"

Customers say: True professional

"My project was to putty the nail holes, prime and paint the interior wood trim around nine replacement windows. The window frames and sashes were prefinished by the manufacturer. As I discussed my project with Juan Arias, the head of the Xtreme Painting LLC, I inquired about also removing popcorn material from bathroom ceiling, and then repainting the whole bathroom where the ceiling and upper walls had been water damaged from a leak in the bathroom on the floor above. Mr. Arias offered to do the total project for $600.00 if I provided the paint. I countered that I wanted him to obtain the paint and needed supplies, as I was not familiar with what materials he preferred to use. He said that he would bring me a receipt for the the supplies, and that the total price would be $600.00 plus the cost of the supplies. Our agreement was verbal. On the appointed day, Mr. Arias and an associated arrived at my home and began to work. Mr. Arias attended to the windows, and his associate worked on the bathroom. They took a very short lunch break, and were finished with their work by 2:00 pm that day. The windows and the bathroom now look very good to excellent. I did not receive a receipt from Mr. Arias for the paint and other materials, but he told me that $50.00 would cover it, which seemed reasonable to me considering that he had to obtain the materials. I paid Mr. Arias the total of $650.00 by check. The removal of the popcorn material from the bathroom ceiling resulted in tiny bits of the ceiling material which ended up being tracked throughout the house as the workers and I moved about the house. They put down a drop cloth on the floor, furniture and fixtures in the bathroom, and covered the downstairs hallway carpet with plastic, but they did not cover the stairs or hallway leading to the upstairs windows. After the drop cloth and plastic were removed, I had to go back through the house to vacuum up the remaining debris. Also, the new windows have retractible window screens which were retracted into the inside top frames of the windows. I failed to point these out to Mr. Arias when he quoted the job, as I did not intend for him to paint the new window frames and sashes, only the trim installed around the windows. I realized after Xtreme Painting left that he had painted the face of the window frames as well. This resulted in the paint sticking the ends of the retractible screen bars to the window frames, and also some small amount of paint getting on to the window screen mesh. I was able to free up the retractible screen mechanisms with minor effort. Also, the associate who worked on the bathroom ceiling project used a garden pump sprayer as part of the process. He set the sprayer on the living room carpet inside the front door, where it leaked on the carpet. It took a couple of days for the carpet to dry. Finally, I noticed a couple of days after the work was completed that there were drops of paint on a comforter on the bed in the upstairs bedroom where a window was painted. I had not covered the bed, as it was a few feet away from the window. Apparently Mr. Arias did not cover the bed either, and some paint dripped on to it. In summary, the painting and ceiling repair were very good to excellent, but the masking and cleanup could have been better. I would hire this company again."

"Mike and Crystal were very professional from the first phone contact through the completion of the work. They showed up on time, their work was neat and they worked very efficiently. My windows were in pretty bad shape. They really took their time and prepped them very well which showed in the finished product. When asked to redo or touch up anything it was done without question. In the end we received a very good paint job on a timely basis and at a competitive price. I have already recommended Mike's Painting to others in my neighborhood and would use him again for future painting needs.

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Wise, NC

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
