"We had some storm damage to our roof, a combination of wind and hail. We checked, had a few quotes and went with Franos Roofing (who we found on Angie's List.) After contacting the insurance company, Arek met with the adjuster at our place and they inspected the roof. A few days later the insurance company denied the full replacement and wanted to just do several ugly patches. Arek contacted them and a few days later we received a call from our insurance saying the roof was approved - and that they were also going to repair the shed roof. The old roof was stripped and the new one on in a single day (it's a big roof!) This is the third roof we've had put on, and this was the best job we've seen. Attention to detail, replaced all the vents and fans, all new flashings and drip edge, ice shield - everything we expected and more. When they were done, they cleaned up extremely well. I ran a magnetic sweep over the driveway (Our car got a flat from a stray nail after the last roof) - not a single nail. Not one. Like many people in our area, we had a really bad ice dam this past winter. We called Arek with concerns about damage it may cause - instead of saying "get rid of the snow" he sent over a crew and they cleared off the roof. Amazing service. "I recently bought a 2-flat with a flat roof that was in really rough shape and especially difficult, it was multiple layers deep and completely in shambles. David and team did an outstanding job: 1. Tearing off multiple layers of old, crumbling roof 2. Installing new insulation and granulated roofing 3. Spot repairing brickwork around the chimneys and edges 4. Spot tuckpointing the front limestone of the building 5. Cleaning the property afterwards The job was done in a total of 4 days, 2 for the tear off and re-roofing and 2 for the masonry/tuckpointing work. I was very impressed by how quickly they were able to get this done given the severity of the issues and the difficulty of the project. All this to say, I would absolutely recommend APR Roofing for your roofing and masonry needs - they were efficient, cost effective, transparent and honest. "Everything went very well. Heidi was incredibly responsive from the first call and throughout the process. Everyone, from the owner to every workman, was courteous and very professional. We did have weather issues (heat and storms) that understandably delayed the initial start date. When the new start date conflicted with our vacation, there was no hassle about our postponing the start date until we returned. This was a fairly big job and took the crew about a week to complete. Each day they started exactly when they told me they would be there and each evening, they made sure that everything was picked up and stowed neatly. When the job was done, the cleanup was thorough. "I had called Tom's Construction along with two other contractors to do work at my house. Tom was the only on to respond. I remember calling him and getting his voice mail. I left a message to call me back and in about 10 min. he did. We met that afternoon. <br /> He was at my house on time as promised, reviewed the project with me and gave me a quote. He must have spent about an hour with me, no rush. I signed a contract that day. I knew I was on to something good. <br /> Demolition began on Monday March 16 th. on Sunday Tom called me to say that he would be there the next day. Monday morning Tom called and said they would arrive around 9:00, they pulled up at 9:00, One thing about Tom is that he is a a great communicator and always on time. All concrete removal went fine, with complete clean up each day before the crew left. All the concrete pours went like clock work and workmanship was outstanding. Tom always checked with me when he thought something should be altered. <br /> When the work was complete Tom put an acrylic sealer on all the new concrete. He even power washed a small old section at the end of the drive and sealed that too. Towards the end of the project people that were walking by my house would stop and compliment on how great everything looked and wanted to know who did the work. My neighbor wanted Tom to come down and look at her driveway. Even the UPS man stopped to get Tom's business card. What does that tell you? His work sells its self!
