"I’m having a prefab metal art studio installed/built at my home. I needed a foundation poured to spec. I met with several contractors, as one does. Efrain at Eco Con came out, on time, and emailed me a bid the next day. His price was significantly less than anyone else, but perhaps more importantly, he seemed honest and everything about him was professional. I check on his credentials and ultimately hired him. He and his crew came out, on time, formed the pad, paths, etc, and poured the concrete a couple days later. Today they came back to remove the forms. They cleaned everything up and were extremely kind, and easy to work with. Honestly, I wish I had more work for them but I don’t. I HIGHLY recommend them. "

"Working with Yesner was fantastic and I would / will hire him again! The project was pouring a concrete slab in the basement of our old (1904) home. Like all old-house projects, this slab pour project had unique problems that would require someone with experience and a willingness to brainstorm in order to do it right. Yesner brought his experience, suggestions, and skills to the project and I'm very happy with the results. Additionally, he was dependable, easy to communicate with, and did not upsell his ideas. He came in with a reasonable bid (which can be hard to find in SF), adjusted costs for the change-orders without gouging, worked with me on the schedule, and was pleasant throughout the entire process. They were here exactly when they said they would be, did everything they promised, and cleaned everything up when they finished. Even when I suggested they could skip steps, he insisted on doing everything properly, including completely digging out a huge tree root, adding color to minimize differences with the existing concrete, and laying rebar."

"We hired Groundworks CA (fka Bay Area Underpinning) for what we understood was a full foundation repair. We paid $42K. They only worked on the rear and never informed us that the front wasn’t included. Months later, while selling our home, a third-party engineer found $189K in unaddressed issues at the front. We were blindsided, lost our buyer, and suffered major financial and emotional stress. Groundworks later admitted they hadn’t measured the front. Their rushed “final inspection” months later felt reactive, not professional. When asked for a partial refund, they refused. We feel misled and abandoned. Avoid."

"It went well. Crew was on time and very clean. I am used to having to pick up after crews but not these guys. Fair price and attention to detail. We then had him do a second project of installing flag stone. Owner is the site guy too and detail oriented. They will be back for some concrete work next month. Only issue I had was communication language barrier. Luckily my wife speaks Spanish so it worked out well."
