"We started working with Terry in 2022 when we bought our house. Before we moved in, he and his team rewired everything to support two home offices and to bring all interior and exterior outlets up to code (the previous owners had an interesting relationship with electricity, lol). Since then, we’ve had him back to install ceiling fans with lights, shower fans, outside lights with Ring cameras, and an electric vehicle charging station. He’s reliable, prompt, and fair with his pricing. And he’s a nice guy, too! We highly recommend him."

Customers say: Quality work

"I had Tom and Matt install a dedicated 20A circuit from our garage electrical panel to the basement equipment room, and added GFCI-protected outlets for our water treatment system. They were incredibly professional, friendly, and reliable. They accommodate our schedule when we need to get the job done within 10 days. They double-checked the scope of work with me before starting and clearly explained their process, making everything transparent from start to finish. After the installation, they left the area very clean. We are satisfied with their work and will definitely consider hiring them again for future electrical projects."

Customers say: Super punctual

"I had an issue where my wall oven suddenly lost power. Unsure whether it was a fuse problem or something with the oven itself, I called Stephen to come by after work. He quickly and efficiently diagnosed the situation, ruling out any issues with the electrical wiring or plug. This allowed me to confidently move forward with contacting an appliance technician. Stephen was transparent throughout his diagnostic process and provided clear explanations, which I greatly appreciated. Thanks! "

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Worcester, MA

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
