Thorough inspection of all roofing components, discussed price, color etc. They happened to have a cancellation on Friday (today). The work crew arrived and quickly dispatched the old roof, had the barriers in place, ridge vent installed shingles placed and total cleanup of the site by just after 2pm. Amazing! "First, let me complain about roofers in general. They seem uninterested in doing repairs and just want to do a whole new roof, which is very expensive. They don't return calls and even when they do, they often don't come out to look things over, and when they do, they don't always come through with an estimate. Mike Scheinfield sent his long-term guy Matthew and we got a friendly visit and a timely estimate. While we tried to get comparison estimates, he offered a discount, as they had some extra time in-between jobs. Since his was the best estimate, we went ahead. Of course, we have to wait until there are a few more heavy downpours to know for sure if it is fixed definitively. They gave us a year guarantee (mainly because it was a repair and not a whole new roof)."
