"My 89 year old dad hired John and his sons to paint his house in La Vernia and they did a great job. John met me out their so that we could discuss what needed to be done and he made a few suggestions on how to save my dad some money. He started the project when he said he would and showed up every day until he finished. He even met me out there the following day, to do a walk around to make sure I was also happy with the work. I never felt like John or his sons were going to take advantage of my dad. Thanks John. The next time I get my house painted I will contact John Normile."

"Quote was itemized, work was started on date specified and I was kept aware of the progress and what steps were taken. Brick staining brought my older home up-to-date. Definitely would hire them again and have recommended them to my neighbors."

"Had a great experience with Ernest and Economy House Painting. He was quick to come out and give me a fair quote. He was professional and gave me options. Looking forward to having him come out again to complete some other projects. Thank you!!"

"I recently hired Allstar Painting and Flooring crew to paint the interio of my home, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. From start to finish, they were professional, punctual, and easy to communicate with. They paid close attention to detail, made sure all surfaces were properly prepped, and kept everything clean and organized throughout the process. I really recommend these guys for all of your painting needs."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Austin, TX

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
