"The project went very well. Timing and budget were met. More importantly, I had a curvy design (drawn on graph paper) and a new material in mind (recycled rubber pavers, now offered by Azek). Unlike many of the contractors I spoke with, Jeff from MasonWorks was willing to work with my design and this unfamiliar material that involved laying plastic grids over the compacted base and then installing the pavers. The pavers themselves could be cut with a woodworking tools. I wanted a dogwood blossom design on the entry and main patios which required a lot of diagonal cuts. I didn't want to pay for the extra labor to make that happen, so MasonWorks team laid the pavers in a random pattern and gave me a few days before applying the sand to lock in when I was able to cut and rearrange the pavers to make my design. I am so thrilled with the result. I had wanted a deck, but the raised terrace was a great solution that didn't conflict with zoning. The work was done in 2011 and, 8 years later, it is holding up really well, even though I did dig out the base material pretty close to the edge of the pavers to allow for more planting. The first photo is from 2018. The others are from 3-5 years ago."

"I needed a landscaper because my lawn was a mess (more weeds and moss than grass, it seemed), and water was seeping into the basement because of improper gutter drainage and soil grading. Oh, and there was a critter, possibly the skunk that was seen in the area, burrowing underground where there was a gap near my patio – ugh! I hired M&L because the quote was reasonably priced, and Leo was responsive, understanding and cooperative as my landscaping project evolved. The job he ended up doing included building a trench for the gutter downflow, re-grading the entire lawn, creating flowerbeds, installing a fence, doing concrete work (to keep that critter out!), and paving a small section of the yard to hold trash and recycling bins. Leo and his team showed up when they said they would, worked quickly and efficiently, and with the greatest attitude – all of them were hard-working and easy to deal with. I will definitely hire M&L again for future landscaping jobs, and I highly recommend them to others. My lawn now looks nice and neat, can't wait for the new grass to grow. Thank you, Leo and crew!"

"Edmar and his helper Marcio were fantastic. They were conscientious of our property. They rebuilt a patio and changed our deck to extend the patio for us. They also built steps leading to the patio and a wall to encase the patio with a fence on top so our pup does not escape. The final project is absolutely breathtaking! "You have to factor in the pandemic and shortage of materials. We started with a pool that had not been renovated in over 30 years with leaves and hidden issues where pipes had not been properly glued. The 1600 sq ft of brick pavers were coming up and had air gaps. What was amazing was that he was able to get us the marble we wanted, glass tile and diamond brite selection. He and his wife came in and removed all the loose bricks, installed the new marble tile in the French pattern, and decko drain. They then creatively poked access for the new jets and got the main drain setup (which for some reason had been disabled). The prior setup was a 2 inch skimmer, no main drain, and a 1 inch jet. Now we had a 2 inch skimmer, 2 inch main drain, and 2 1 1/2 jets. We went with a smaller light which was much cheaper and has plenty of light with it's 14 different light variances, As far as the quality of work he is very particular and several times pulled everything out to redo a simple issue. An example was when the skimmer pressure test failed at high pressure. Another person would have let it go, but he pulled out all the decking around the skimmer to dig into the area about 2 feet below from the original work. He found the problem where original joints had not been properly glued and rectified the situation, (this was not his work, but from the original installation). This was an additional expense to him, but he did not charge us for this. The electrician was not very reliable, but Fabio would come and wait for him for hours to ensure that this got done. The tile was beautiful and Fabio asked if he could add additional tile to the floor for a flourish. It looked beautiful and my wife loved it. We went through a number of Diamond Brite people and he was able to get the McCintosh brothers to install this and that was beautiful. The finished job is sensational. When we get rain now the rain flows out and there are no puddles. Previously we had these for days. Fabio and Neci are very hard workers and very honorable. The price did change a few times, but there were huge reasons for this. Plumbing was not in place or broken as mentioned in this review which was not his fault. When you start a job there are sometimes unknown variables. Here we had leaks, air gaps and all sorts of issues which Fabio had to account for. The finished job was excellent! We would be willing to act as a reference and show the work he has done for everyone. My comments may come out as some negatives, but really only are meant to demonstrate all of the various challenges Fabio had to deal with to complete this job. There were no negatives with him or his work. There were several delays due to materials, waiting for the commencement documentation, and of course the electrician.... I've heard horror stories and know this went great. We had our first pool party and are extremely happy."
