"Contacted Emerald Lawn Care in April to ask about tick treatment for yard. After taking my information, they called back in within five minutes with the cost. I was advised that they didn't start yard treatments until the weather and ground was warm enough which is usually the second week in May. They called to let me know when they were coming out (helpful, since I needed to keep kids and pets in and pick up toys in the yard). They came and treated the yard, closed gates behind them and posted the required signs. A great job at a reasonable cost. Very professional. "Bug Man #3 called and asked if he could come early, which was news to our ears because of the threat the yellow jackets posed on our front porch. For several weeks the activity of the yellow jackets had increased noticably and they seemd much more agressive. We thought the nest was in the porch ceiling, but it turned out that they had gotten into an interior wall and built a huge nest. They were only using the openings around the porch ceiling to get inside. <br /> BugMan #3 suited up in his bee suit and sprayed into the porch ceiling area and then blew a fine insecticide dust around all the openings along the ceiling.The powder got on the yellow jackets anytime they went in or out and ultimately killed them. <br /> BugMan #3 then came into the house and used a stethoscope to pinpoint the nest location in the wall. When the first spray in the porch ceiling got to the nest, we could hear the wall buzzing in a frenzy. With the nest located, BugMaN #3, drilled three tinyl holes in the wall and injected the chemicals directly into the nest to kill the queen. The nest went crazy and buzzed loudly over the next three days, being a little less loud each day. By the end of day three, the wall was quiet. <br /> BugMan #3 said it would take three or four days for all the foraging yellow jackets to return to the nest, and we did see them coming in and out of the porch ceiling over the next four days, and then they were all gone. BugMan#3 told us not to open the wall to clean out the nest until at least two weeks after treatment so any hatching larva would have time to die. The nest in the wall must be huge, because it smelled as it decayed. We will be opening the wall and removing the nest and replacing the insulation and dry wall. <br /> We are very pleased customers and would recomment Bug Man to anyone with bug problems. There service is very reasonable, very professional, and effective. <br />"
