They helped me plan out the move, and do the move from Arlington, VA to Charleston, SC for LESS than it would have cost me to use a POD, and they did it in an incredibly efficient and professional manner. I have moved 17 time in the first 14 years of marriage, so have been through the process many times. I can say with certainty, that Fast Movers were the most cost effective and amazingly professional. Without doubt, the best moving experience I have ever done. "Had a lot of stuff [90+ boxes] plus furniture and other stuff to be moved from a condo to a house 70 mi away. Jeff and his two skilled compatriots (after several confirmations and instructional emails he sent days and weeks earlier) arrived right on time, with large truck, ready to make it happen. And they did. They worked faster -- with skill and respect for objects being moved -- than any movers I've used in the past. They also were ready to repack or protect any objects improperly prepared for the journey. Their quickness, and fairness on pricing, made this a headspinning (favorably) experience, Blink and the move was already over! Would use them again in a minute. Was quoted by several other moving firms in the $2000 to $3000 range. Potomac Movers would not give me a firm quote but based it on time, which had me worried -- with a delivery 70 mi away -- it could end up higher than the other quotes. As it turned out, they were 1/2 to 1/3 the cost of other firms. Am glad I trusted them."

"I had received quotes from numerous companies prior to my move including one that was almost double Great Nation, several similarly priced, and one about half as much with varying promises of when they'd pick up and deliver and of course nothing was guaranteed. Scott at Great Nation (scott@greatnationmoving.com) told me he would work with me to stick to my timeline and keep me informed; he stayed true to his word. The movers were on time to pick up and very efficient. There was a slight delay of a few hours at delivery but it was an unforeseen situation and again they were incredibly professional and efficient. Honestly could not ask for more or better service. I highly recommend them especially if your out of state move is already stressful enough without an added headache from a moving company."

"I contacted American Moving based on the reviews here on Angies List; they were one of three companies I contacted. Mike came out to the house to look things over and talk through the details of my move requirements; most of the bids were all virtual, this personal touch did make a difference. The price he quoted ended up being right in the middle of the other bids and I went with them. Moving day was scheduled on a day that was calling for TERRIBLE weather and Mike was able to accommodate my request to move the date up by a day which was perfect. The movers were super punctual, super professional and so helpful as some of the "where to put things" decisions were not all worked out. They were patient and also so pleasant to work with. It took 10 hours for the entire move and it went flawlessly in my opinion. I would use American Moving & Storage again and would highly recommend them."
