I will say the salesperson said they could treat the outside "rain or shine' which sounded odd to me, and the tech said they could not treat the outside due to snow. Were not worried about it, but a pretty simple job for them to treat only the inside at a 1st visit cost. We will see how they do for the year of the contract."

"I hired the company and paid a deposit. They put me on the schedule for around 10am. No one showed up and I called. They said I was on the schedule for 2p. 2p came and went and still no one showed up. I have requested a refund for my deposit because they are unreliable. They are high price too"

"Moved into a new house, discovered some evidence of mice. Schopen came to the rescue! Setting an appointment was easy, the tech arrived on time, was friendly. He did a visual inspection inside and outside of the house and patched possible entrances around the foundation. He set traps and bait stations and then came back for a maintenance check. No major evidence of intrusion--the holes they filled outside worked! I am keeping them on for maintenance and adding a spider and bugs b/c they give a single fee for maintenance on both--which is a great deal. They also have an account portal on their website so clients can track spending, notes, and appointments. One national brand came and tried to upsell me--saying that I needed them to install a barrier around my house because of some issue with my siding ($2000!) and the cost of their annual service was double Schopen. I highly recommend skipping the big-name brands and going with this family-owned business."

All were gone in a matter of minutes. He also noticed the mud wasp nests on stone work at my home. I learned something new today! "Once again, American Weathermakers saved the day! Have used them for over 30 years and they’ve been consistently good and very responsive in critical situations and still continue to deliver quality service. During the last sub-zero cold spell with wind chills running in the minus 30 degree range, I woke on Sunday morning, about 6am, with the house a very chilly 52 degrees. Seems the furnace was not working! Immediately called American Weathermakers and reached their answering service. A very nice lady took my information and said someone call me back. About twenty minutes later, Zlatan Pasic, their Installation Manager, called and said he was headed into the office and would be going past my home and could stop and see if he could find the problem. When he arrived, he was immediately able to solve one problem but there was a blown circuit board that would need replacing. Obviously, he didn’t have one with him but said he would check as soon as he was in the office and and let me know. Told me it would take an hour or so to get back to me because he also needed to coordinate all the service calls coming in due to the storm and cold. He called about an hour later and said they had the circuit board (!!) and as soon as a technician was free and could get to the warehouse to pick it up, they would be out. Matt Merkelz, one of their service technicians, arrived within a couple hours with the part and up had the unit up and running in short order. By late afternoon, my house was once again warm and snuggy!"
