"When we called Smoky Top Contractors we were treated with respect with an ambitious and "we will do it all" attitude. When we met with with them in person we knew that they were the company that we wanted to do our major landscape, hardscape, and driveway pavers... and their bid for the job solidified our decision. From the landscape architect, the renderings, the blueprints, the immediate communication all the way to that last minute of work was a positive experience for such an extensive project. Mike and his sons and other workers worked hard from the moment they arrived until they left and their final product was second to none. We have another major project to do in the near future, and we undoubtedly know that Smoky Top Contractors will be our only phone call."

"I am very pleased with the job they did for us. We had a sidewalk installed that began at the foot of our driveway down to our backyard. They are very prompt in returning calls, answering texts and with any questions I had during the entire process. Crew is VERY hard working, pays attention to detail and put touches on this project I wasn't expecting. Estimated time for this project was 3 days. Everything was completed instead in 1 and 1/2 days. I highly recommend them!"

"First off I’d like to say I’m a very picky person and typically do everything myself, but a friend recommended landesman lawn care and assured me they were what I was looking for. And boy did they exceed my expectations! Very clean, precise and professional work with a great attitude aswell! Safe to say I’ve found my permanent landscapers, thanks Jesse!"

"I had a great experience with Lucas Outdoor Design, these days its hard to find a construction company that shows up when they say they will, but this company also showed up when they said they would, even when it was snowing! The workers asked my along the way if they liked the quality of their work and if I had any concerns. They did a fantastic job and I cant wait to use my new back patio once it warms up!"

"One dead tree was cut down from my front yard and the stump was ground. Grass seed was planted and straw spread where the stump was. Other than this, there is no sign the tree existed. No sticks or even twigs remain on my lawn, and the lawn itself is flawless. Nothing was disturbed.

Some trees were trimmed for health and they are absolutely gorgeous now. The work and clean up was perfect. While here, Dakota discussed the health of some other trees with me, and what will probably need to be done in the future. I highly recommend Dakota for any tree servicing you might need. They did great work and knew exactly what they were doing. Everything turned out beautifully."

"We hired Jerry Sutton of JS Builders to design and build a custom home. He built us a gorgeous custom craftsman style home in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains. Jerry was professional and build a solid home that could withstand the worst of storms. He was adamant about building a strong structurally safe house. He went the extra mile to do so by adding poured walls and adding a support beam on the 22 ft. tall wall with all the windows in our great room. There were other obstacles that made things tougher such as a hard excavation site on the top of a mountain and the fact that we were living in Florida at the time and the house was being built in Tennessee. There were no problems with these due to Jerry's crew's expertise in building mountain homes and the fact that Jerry was in constant contact with us about progress on the house. I trusted Jerry and felt like the house was in good hands at all times. There were items that we wanted in the house that had to be custom made such as the craftsman railings inside the house and the deck railings on the porches made from goat wire. He also contracted with a custom cabinet builder to make beautiful cabinets for our kitchen and master bath. Jerry added his creative touch to the house including the custom shaped windows for the front of the house and having the walls a mixture of tongue-and-groove and sheet rock to mix up the textures and colors in the house and adding a great step down deck off our front porch.. He was alway open and helpful about any changes we wanted to make to upgrade the house along the way. He always treated the house as "his house". He still does. The house was completed 2 years ago and he still is quick to come help with the house when needed. I would recommend having a home built by Jerry Sutton with JS builders if you would like to have a home that is over the top structurally sound, unique and beautiful."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Dandridge, TN

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
