I was having trouble with my landscape lights and the person on the phone coached me through a few things to check before they sent someone out, and we were able to fix it right on the spot. Very nice of them as it got my problem fixed and I didn't have to pay $125+ just to have someone come out to make an easy fix. Another company I called was going to charge me $199 just to come look at it and then pay more to fix it. Plus the woman on the phone was so nice and friendly and genuinely wanted to help me. In the future when I do need work done, because of this wonderful experience Midwest Lightscapes will definitely be the people I call!"

"This company does not have a solid understanding of the Generac generators they install. I had the owner out last week to repair ours that is less than 3 years old. He left saying all was good, and on the following Saturday it failed to start for it’s weekly exercise run just as it had before he “repaired” it. Same exact error code. Ask him about Generac’s MobileLink app and he doesn’t have a clue. When I told him it failed again he said that maybe his battery tester was bad and that batteries are not included under the warranty. He said I should buy a new battery. I did, for $190, and it did not solve the problem. When I asked about their covering the cost of the battery, he asked “why should I?”. Steer clear!"

We are a very small company of three employees. Landscape & exterior lighting is our only business. We have specialized in low voltage landscape lighting for over the last 15 years. We design and install 12V halogen and LED systems as well as troubleshooting and repairing existing systems. We use contracts outlining our Standard Terms & Conditions for new installations & Service Contracts which are signed by our clients. We only install equipment that has a manufacturer warranty & our labor is warranted for 2 years. Installations require a "good faith" deposit of 50% of the total cost of the proposal with the remainder due at completion of the job. Sorry, at this time we do not accept credit cards.

"I have nothing more to say except absolutely HORRIBLE service ALL AROUND. Please, please, please look at other reviews (Google, etc) before going to Wilcox. They are 10x's more expensive than other companies and their customer service is HORRIBLE; and worse, their management team is unprofessional and horrible as well (talking rudely about customers simply because we expect the services that were paid for). Not only that, their work is HORRIBLE! We added new irrigation lines to our property when having a pool built and they TOTALLY MESSED UP, causing water to run through our pool deck (which caused a lot of damage to the deck underneath) and they refused to be fully accountable even after their own employee told us that Wilcox had had to fire a lot of employees because the employees weren't doing jobs correctly. YEAH, NO JOKE! Wilcox also DAMAGED a brand new tree we planted. Do you think they took accountability for that? NOPE! I had to call their office yelling and advising them I was going to take them to court before they decided to replace the tree! The bottom line is, there are way too many other landscaping companies in the area who care about the work they do and their customers. Please, PLEASE do your homework because Wilcox is not worth it in the long run."
