"Initially I hired this company for my business and was very happy. The employees were great. I'm a new business. We do patient care and I am the only treating provider. Because of patient schedules, working evenings or weekends/holidays, I do not always work full days. I ask my support staff to go home once we are finished with patient care because I cannot afford to keep them on the clock when we are not generating income. After a year of service, Ampro called and cancelled my monthly service stating it's too much gas and time to drive there and find out we are not there. They said they would be available if needed for sporadic treatments. I agreed. Until a few weeks later when there were two giant centipedes in my treatment room. I called them immediately and stated I needed them to continue monthly service. The gentleman I spoke with was kind and ask if they gave me notification when they came out. I said no, I had never received a notice that they were going to spray. He said they should be able to work with me. I told the gentleman, we always have someone here until 4 on Wednesdays, that would be a great time to spray because the cleaner is there and there are no patients. If that didn't work, we are there 6:15am-2pm almost every day. We can be there from 2p-4p but we'd need to know because we aren't always there. The next day Keven sent a message and stated they would be there at 4pm on Thursday. I responded, I will have to meet you there at 4:00. He said Thanks. On Thursday, I pulled into the parking lot at 4:00, got out of my car at 4:01. There was no one around. I contacted Kevin, he said "Parker" was there until 4:02 and there was a closed sign out. I was on the sidewalk at 4:01, so that is false. Kevin said I needed to get another exterminator. Ok, I will. But wow this is pretty unprofessional. I would hope someone who wants their business to work would put effort into working with the customer. I do. I'm looking for a new exterminator if anyone is interested, per Kevin, that would be best. I would hire them again if they could let me know when they are coming so I can make sure they can do their job."

FAQs for rodent pest control service projects in Edinburgh, IN

Rodent exclusion seals every gap, vent, and crack that rodents use to sneak inside your home. Most homeowners pay an average of $200 to $600 for this add-on. By blocking entry points, you create a long-term barrier that cuts down on repeat infestations and helps protect both your family and your property.

Pros start with an inspection, then place tamper-resistant bait stations and traps in high-traffic spots. They’ll also seal entry points and clean droppings to reduce health risks. Follow-up visits confirm that the plan worked and that no new rodents have moved in. This step-by-step approach removes the current infestation and helps keep your home rodent-free going forward.

A trained pest-control pro can pinpoint hidden access points using a flashlight, thermal imaging, and plenty of crawl-space sleuthing. During an inspection, the specialist maps every gap, vent, or pipe run that rats use, then explains how to seal each one. This detailed report lets you tackle the weak spots immediately and dramatically lowers the odds of another infestation.

Rodent prevention starts with managing food and entry points. Store pantry items in airtight containers, take out trash promptly, and keep pet food sealed. Outside, trim vegetation and stack firewood away from the house. Inside, seal gaps with steel wool or hardware cloth. A tidy yard and a buttoned-up home give rats and mice few reasons—or routes—to move in.

For wall or attic nests, pros place snap traps or CO2-powered units in the exact runways rats use, then return to remove carcasses and reset as needed. Poison is risky indoors because rats may die in hidden spots, creating odors or health issues, so most technicians avoid it. Once trapping is complete, they’ll seal entry points and clean droppings to finish the job.

Plan on several weeks, especially for larger infestations. Your pro will set traps, return every few days to collect rats, and adjust placement until activity stops. Final visits include sealing access points and sanitizing affected areas. Timelines vary, but most homes are rat-free after two to four follow-ups. Prompt scheduling and good sanitation can shorten the process.
