"A-1 arrived on time and on the day arranged.  The owner was there and kept me informed of the progress of the job.  We need a large area raised due to sinking and water pooling towards the home.  They also found an area that needed to be raised.  They were actually lower in price than one of the other companies we had a bid from, and they did a larger area. <br /> Very pleased with the completed job; they worked within my schedule so I could be at home during the work.  The driveway and sidewalk looks great, and if you didn't know work was done you'd not be aware of the holes to pump the material in.  Very pleased overall, and would recommend them. <br />"

I had previously chosen another company to do the work but they wanted 50% of the money up front and wanted to charge me almost 2X the amount I ended up paying with Spartan Ram Jack. Also, they did not want any money from me until the work was completed to my satisfaction. The crew was professional and although they had to dig almost 8 feet down to complete the project, I could not tell that they had displaced anything unless I knew what to look for. "My driveway was very discolored with some pock marks, and it was detrimental to the appearance of my home.  Based on other reviews and pictures, I decided to resurface the concrete with an epoxy stone coating.  Gary Meyer of ESI was very responsive to my request and came out to examine my property.  He explained the whole process to me.  He also arranged for mudjacking for my walkway and driveway to prepare for the project.  The work was completed in a professional and timely manner, and there was no mess left behind.  The finished product was gorgeous.  My family, friends and neighbors couldn't believe how good it looks.  I have received many compliments, and it has greatly improved the overall curb appeal of my property.  I would highly recommend ESI. "

"The process with Robert Lay Contracting was excellent.  Robert Lay is the owner/contractor.  Robert showed up for every appointment on time, from the initial discussion and estimate all the way through to project completion.  Every step of the process was very transparent.  It was a complete turnkey project, Robert secured all the paperwork and permits to complete the project.  During the construction phase, he used the same work team throughout.  Robert always showed up on site daily to conduct the work and supervise the crew and sub-contractors.  We were never put in a position where we had to deal with the work crew or the subcontractors.  The project was completed pretty much on time - the only delay was beyond Robert's control - a supplier delivery issue that Robert was upfront and apologetic for.  There were no surprises throughout the project.  Robert and his wife/secretary/traffic manager kept us informed daily of what was going to happen next.  Ours was not an easy project.  One prospective contractor looked at the project and decided it was too complicated for him to attempt.  The other contractor that bid did not have the original bid back for over three weeks.  Another aspect of the project that should be highlighted is that Robert did not juggle multiple projects simultaneously.  He was on the job at our house M-F, daily until the project was completed to our satisfaction.  I wholeheartedly recommend Robert Lay Contracting to anyone who is apprehensive about working with contractors, letting them into your home and generally trusting them to not only tell you what they will do, how much it will cost, and when it will be done, but actually keeping every commitment they make.  This was the best experience we have ever had with a contractor.  We were apprehensive about the project and Robert made us feel at ease.  We could not be happier with the outcome. <br /> I recommend Robert Lay Contracting without hesitation.  I would definitely use Robert Lay Contracting for my next project."
