We have the ability and knowledge to design build or design assist any electrical project. We are capable of 3D BIM modeling the electrical design. This allows us to coordinate proactively instead of re-actively with other trades. Our company performs 90% of all the work in house with our own forces. We use sub contractors for fire alarm systems, telephone/data systems, nurse call systems, and security systems. We do all other electrical work in house including trenching and excavating, and concrete work for our own installations. Our bonding company is Gene Lilly Surety Bonds from Lincoln, NE. We have weekly tool box safety meetings, monthly safety meetings, a yearly 10 hour safety seminar, first aid and CPR certifications, and periodic site safety inspections.

In 1981, Ray Barr, Tom Brummett and Stan Gregory purchased the company with the ambition to become one of the leading heating and air conditioning companies in Omaha. After starting business with only one install technician and one service technician, their dream has been realized after growing into a company with a staff of over 100 people and branching out into all areas of the HVAC business. In 2007 Tom Brummett, retired after 26 years of committed service. He helped A-1 United become the company it is today. In May of 2007, A-1 United implemented an Employee Stock Ownership Plan, (ESOP). In essence, Ray Barr and Stan Gregory turned over the ownership of the company to our dedicated and loyal employees. In 2009 we made the decision to branch out into the electrical contracting business. This has turned out to be a good decision. We now have a staff of 12 full time electricians to serve you. Over the past 33 years, A-1 United has become one of the largest Lennox dealers in the Midwest. We owe this to you, all of our devoted customers without whom, our company would not be where it is today.
