"Almanza is the best in the area, I've learned the hard way. Had them as regulars for landscaping a few years back. They were great for the most part - Raul was excellent at doing extra jobs (paving, tree-cutting) fast and prompt at very reasonable prices. The yard looked great. However, when fall cleanup came, the crew left a lot of debris behind. During the summer, they also trimmed stuff I asked them not to trim and didn't trim what I wanted them to. I chalked it up to the crew though. Raul has always been great and I complained to him about it, noting I couldn't renew the contract with the same weekly crew. Not hearing from him about a different crew, I too hastily terminated the contract. BIG mistake. Subsequent lawn care and landscape specialists have been totally abysmal compared. I've learned that the weekly crews of any company are not as honest, hardworking, scrupulous, etc. as the owners but you have to put up with that stuff. It's just part of the game apparently. Looking back, aul's crew wasn't perfect, but they were a lot better than any others I've had. If you have him as a landscaper, keep him. A good dude. I've regretted my action more every year."

"I hired Joe and Tony Landscaping over 10 years ago to design my front yard landscape. I told Dan (college educated in landscape design) that I wanted my yard to have 4 season interest. I also mentioned that I wanted low maintenance plantings. I was blown away with the finished project. I have trees that bloom and produce berries at different times in spring. Roses blooming in summer. Tall grasses that bloom and turn red in fall. He installed beautiful ground cover and hardscape. My neighbors were inspired to upgrade their own yards. One neighbor mentioned that the landscape design made my house look like a different house. When I hired Dan I met with several other landscape designers. Everyone gave me a similar price quote but Dans design was far and away the best bang for the buck. I contacted Dan in Feb/March of this year. I needed some updates to the yard. Some plantings were getting too large and a few bushes were damaged by ice damns that fell from the roof. He responded immediately. Made suggestions and quoted a price. I also got a second quote from another company. Again, both quotes were very similar. I hired Joe and Tony again for the job. I made my down payment and as soon as the plantings were delivered by the nurseries Dan called and gave me an installation date. I called him several times throughout this project to make a change here or there. He always answered the phone. Was always understanding if we wanted to change something. The men who did the work were polite, pleasant and always cleaned up at the end of the day. I’ve hired Joe and Tony Lanscaping twice and would hire them again. "First, we had them build new retaining walls approximately 140' bordering the back and sides of our home. They removed a smaller retention wall and old concrete patio and replaced it with new walls and patio paver blocks. Behind the retention walls almost all the landscaping was replaced with a couple exceptions. All of our homes downspouts were put underground into the yard. They finished planting most of the plants just before the winter freeze. They, also, took out 2 large willow trees, ground the roots, and planted 2 new maple trees in their place. In our second project, they replaced all the paver bricks and retention walls bordering the front of our home and driveway. They built a brand new set of paver/concrete combination stairs into our yard where it was needed. There were transplants of bushes, as well. Thirdly, they put in irrigation drainage on the west side of our property which was needed. We also have used Rojas Landscaping for all of our lawn mowing, as well as spring and fall cleanups through the years. They have always done a beautiful job - we couldn't be happier with their work. Lino Rojas is a pleasure to work with. He understands all of our landscaping needs and we trust him with any helpful ideas. He always provides a solution to our questions. The company has always been professional, on time, provide quality workmanship, and always the best pricing. We couldn't recommend them more for any job you may have."
