"Carnell came and gave me an estimate on my driveway a 12’W x 19’L, and about 24’ of walkway area. He also gave me an estimate on adding a 15’W x 50’L area, that I was going to do later this year. Carnell said that it would be cheaper to do it all at the same time. His estimates were fair and within budget. Carnell and his son (Chris) began grading on Tuesday and then poured on Friday. Carnell and Chris were very pleasant and friendly. They both were willing to answer all my question I had during the construction period and during the curing process. While the concrete was curing it began showing spots that looked like rocks coming through. I called Carnell and he said they would go away, they did. I am very happy with the work they have done and I will use them again in the future. I highly recommend Carnell and Chris at Carnell Goldston Concrete, Inc. for your concrete needs."

"This was not your basic driveway pour. The backyard has a lot of slope and required some ingenuity in design. All other contractors said I would need to install at least one step in the middle of a 65 foot patio. Bill (Orr Concrete) was the only contractor that listened to what I wanted and figured out how to make it work. It was a lot of extra work for his team but they executed it flawlessly. WE also had Bill create a lower patio (three steps down from the main patio). This required a lot of fill dirt and rock plus a retaining. We had the guys cover the wall with engineered stone inside and out. There was an issue with the material provided to bill for the colored stamp. Bill took one look and immediately said ; we are gonna re-pour the lower patio. It looks fantastic! This is a testament to Bills attention to customer service and quality. He stayed in constant contact, keeping me advised on schedule (working around rain and such) next steps. I had work I needed to do (irrigation relocation and installation) which he helped me coordinate during the various project phases. As I said, this was a tougher project so if you need a great design for a patio of just a simple driveway install, give Bill at Orr Concrete a call. He will take good care of you."

"Lou Sullivan was an absolute pleasure to work with. He showed up on time to do the estimate, walked me through the stamping/colorization process, and gathered required info from me to help him ascertain how to achieve the finished look I desired (including layout, colors, and expansion joint locations). Once done he provided me with an estimate as well as his availability. At no point did I feel pressured, and Lou's professionalism made it feel like I was working with a partner who was genuinely invested in helping me achieve my objective. After agreeing on both a price and timing, Lou returned with his crew to do the work, as scheduled. Again he was punctual, and his crew did a fantastic job of getting the pour down, spread, stamped, colored, and cut (expansion joints) in a timely fashion. A week later (to allow curing) Lou returned to seal the finished product. I'm writing this review more than 18 months after completion of the project -- and waited this long to see how the finished product held up. When clean (as opposed to covered in pollen), my patio looks as good as it did the day after it was sealed. I'm very pleased with the result and would/will engage Carolina Decorative Concrete again should I have a need for more work of this type. Lou is a true professional and a master at his craft. Important: It should be noted that I already had a 4" base of level, tamped crush & run in place for the patio … as well forms in place to hold the concrete pour. Thus, the pricing I received was strictly for the decorative concrete work, as all required prep work had already been performed prior to engaging Lou. Those in need of prep work should factor its cost in, of course."

"Excellent work by a hardworking and talented family business. Came to the site repeatedly to discuss and provide updated estimates as our vision for the project developed. We sought several estimates, and Lewis & Sons was very competitively priced. They also made no effort to get more money out of the project after it started--the estimated price was exactly what was requested when it was done. All on-site members of the team (father, son, and a nephew) were very approachable and entirely focused on getting to the result we were looking for. They performed all work exactly as predicted, and were very open to working with us as the project moved along. They would benefit from increased administrative/organizational support--they have many projects going on, and it can be hard to keep customers updated ahead of time when the schedule inevitably shifts a few days one way or the other as a result. That said, when they are there for your project, the amount of effort and attention and skill they expend is incredible. The sheer work ethic demonstrated by the son, Jamal, is especially impressive. We have had several neighbors stop by to tell us the results look great and we're very happy. I'd hire Lewis & Sons again and have been recommending them to others."
