"We can't imagine how it could have gone any better. From the initial meeting to discuss what we needed to the final clean-up, everything was above our expectations. At our first meeting, Fred and Karen went through each room with us and offered suggestions for colors. They gave us a firm price and a firm starting date consistent with our desired timing. Before leaving, Karen provided a number of color books and paint wheels to help us identify the specific colors we wanted to use. While we narrowed our selection down to eight or so colors for the multiple areas that would e painted, we still weren't sure how our choices would blend into the overall light and airy theme we were seeking. Karen came back a few days before the scheduled start and spent over an hour with us going over our choices and making a number of suggestions that made a lot of sense. On day one (and every day of the job), Fred and Karen showed up on time and went right to work. They were very careful with their estimates of the paints needed and only purchased the paint on a daily basis so that we did not end up with a lot of excess paint. It also allowed us to tweak some of the colors to give the right hue and sheen under the lighting in the house. In preparation, they asked us to remove some of fragile items from cupboards and take down things hanging on the walls -- but to leave the nails/hangers in place where we did not want the holes to be filled. They then took care of removing all the electrical covers, patching up some settling cracks, and moving the furniture as needed. They had a very efficient process with laying down generous drop cloths and working one area at a time. They would start by rolling the first coats on the ceiling an walls of the area, then cutting in two coats on the edges and finishing up with a second coat on the walls an ceilings. Their attention to detail was great and they made sure every surface was evenly covered and all edging was sharp. When they were finished (again, on time as scheduled), we were thrilled with the results because it all came together in exactly the way we had hoped. The wall holes had disappeared, the electrical covers were back in place, and the furniture was where it belonged. It was a great experience and we felt we got full value for our investment . We would not hesitate to recommend Fred and Karen for any interior painting project."
