The patio was installed quickly with no fuss and Carillo's did a nice job putting in a cover for the open end of the concrete steps coming down to the patio. Get work all around. "French drain installation along a retaining wall (75 yards). Thomas who handled the sales end of things was friendly and responsive. The crew showed up on time. They were hard working and receptive of customer feedback. They first removed the ivy that was obstructing the work area and then completed the trench on day 1 which uncovered some of the unwelcome water sources. A legacy footing drain was plumbed directly into the main french drain pipe. Perpherated pipe was dropped in on Day 2 followed by river rock, catch basins, and 3 ft dry well installation. Cleanup was done thoroughly. I would hire them again in a heartbeat."

"Jerrod the owner of Archstone was emphatic to point out that he is one of the best if not the best and a very conscientious and honest man. He said the mortar on exterior house wall is very hard and can't be ground out. Per his expert advise the best things is pressure wash and scrape out loose and damaged mortar and use sponging technique to fill in cavities with type S mortar. I understood and agreed asking for care with pressure washer. Quote was $2922 before tax. He said the wall wouldn't look much better than it does now but he would get all the places having egregious deterioration and then seal. Two days work. Moving forward his team (him and a 18 year old nephew) came and went in less than 4 hours. Sealant remained to be done and I could see that cost was itemized at $400. I personally could do it in 1/2 hour so I asked him to scratch it from the price. He was very amenable to that. The issue arose when I was sealing I found and sent him photos of spots with severe erosion that were missed and should take about 1 hour to fix. Some on wall, one in bottom corner of house, one big seam in windowsill. I sent email and photos asking for him to return. He didn't reply. 1 week later I reached him by phone and he said he didn't get the email/or hadn't read it yet but he wasn't going to come back for 'pinholes' which I could do myself. First of all I could do everything myself but that's time that I paid him for. He is too busy to come. Photos are from the south wall as discussed."
