Customers say: Quality work

"I had them build a small cinder block wall to replace one that had been removed years ago by previous owners. The men were professional and the wall came out perfect. I will recommend them to anyone and will use them again!"

"Super, because we were trying to get our house on the market, they squeezed us in. Craftsman arrived on time, did the work, was very professional and cleaned up after work was done. Work being done was in the front of the house and he was working in a garden with hostas, none of the hostas were damaged and the garden looked as if no work has taken place in it. Would highly recommend them."

"I used them several years ago and I decided to call them back because I wanted to do some more yard work but we decided to wait till spring to do it. I didn't meet him but he gave me the estimate over the phone because I was not here. He came out and looked at it and told me what it would be but we decided to wait until spring. They are going to do verti-cuts, aeration and re-seed the yard after they do all the treatment. The reason why we waited was in the mean time he wanted me to kill all the weeds and I have quite a few of that. When they were here the last time they did some landscaping for me. They moved some bushes and put some new plants in. They did a really good job and they were local. They did do some work for me on my sprinkler system because it didn't work and so it took several tries to get to figure that out. They were able to do that for me too. I thought they did a really good job and I wasn't even sure if they were still in business when I contacted them and I was glad to see they were. He didn't get my email and I had to call him because it probably went to junk mail or something and so it took him sometime to respond but once he did there were no problems. I think his punctuality was good because I was not here when he came and so I didn't get a chance to talk to him in person. We did it all over the phone. We are going to use him again to do the work in the spring. He thought it was too late in the season to do what we needed to do and not do it over a second time."

"The owner met with me and determined what needed to be done, and had several suggestions for improving upon my basic ideas., all of which I enthusiastically adopted. He provided an extremely professional, detailed estimate -- unlike other contractors who had bid the job. The work incorporated underground channels and components for ensuring proper drainage and avoiding other future problems. I was extremely impressed with the care taken to prepare and reinforce the beds for pouring the concrete, even including rebar embedded into the side-door platform for maximum stability and security of the new step. My expectations were literally exceeded and I could not be happier. It was great working with All Concrete."

FAQs for brick and stone patios, walks, and steps installation projects in Pleasant Hill, MO

When cleaning your flagstone patio, begin by gently hosing off loose dirt and debris. Use a mild solution of white vinegar and water or diluted dish soap to scrub the surface with a soft-bristled brush. Avoid using abrasive tools, such as wire brushes, as they can damage the stone’s seal and finish. This careful approach effectively removes mold and grime while preserving the natural beauty of your patio.

Flagstone naturally offers a neutral palette that includes shades of grey, black, red, yellow, brown, and tan, and its inherent color cannot be altered. Choosing varieties like bluestone provides a subtle bluish tint that complements many exterior designs. These natural hues enhance curb appeal and create a refined, timeless look in your outdoor space, ensuring a sophisticated finish with minimal upkeep.

Flagstone for a patio must have a minimum thickness of 1.5 inches to reliably support furniture and foot traffic. Using stone that is two to three inches thick is recommended to ensure lasting durability. The increased thickness prevents cracking under load and enhances long-term performance. Investing in thicker flagstone provides superior stability and resistance to weather conditions, ensuring your outdoor space remains both safe and attractive.

You can paint a flagstone patio by using a high-quality, outdoor elastomeric latex paint designed for heavy foot traffic. Painting not only refreshes the patio’s appearance but also creates a waterproof barrier that protects the stone from damage. Regular reapplication every one to two years maintains its durability and visual appeal, ensuring your patio remains both stylish and well-protected.
