Customers say: Quick response

"Custom Design Concrete / Jesse Sawyer removed a badly cracked and uneven, 40 yr old garage floor and and installed a new garage floor and apron. Jesse and crew were a pleasure to work with and performed the job on date that worked for me. Jesse was very straightforward on original estimate and potential problems that may exist. Price was lower than most estimates I received. Have passed along company info to several people and would recommend them to anyone who needs concrete work done."

"Came out to check for hollow spots under basement floor, after sewer rooter guy said to do so. Pleasant knowledgeable and honest. He said we didn't need the work due to what was happening to our floor was not serious. He also looked at our steps but they are too damaged to mudjack and he just said they needed eventual replacement."

"We are very happy with the results of the exterior waterproofing Drew and his crew performed. Drew was the only contractor willing to try to accomplish the waterproofing task by preventing the water intrusion rather than dealing with the water once it was inside the foundation. They removed a 12" by 20 ft section of concrete driveway along the house, excavated a trench to the front yard and installed a "french" style drain along with rock and plastic lining. They also regraded along the front of the house using the same method and connected to the drain line. The entire thing terminates in a rock filled underground pit. It has been eight months since the work was completed and there has been no water intrusion from the fall through the spring. The entire crew was very professional. They took care to not cause any more lawn damage than absolutely necessary and cleaned the driveway almost completely. We were realistic knowing not every spec of dirt would come off without some rain, but they left almost nothing when they left. We will be calling Drew for at least one more project that we are confident will be performed with absolute perfection."

"O'Malley Concrete installed a new concrete driveway, sidewalk, front steps and front patio to our Eden Prairie home in June 2020. Kelly was much more competitive in terms of pricing than the others we had out for a quote. Unlike his competitors who install a 4" pour, Kelly's standard process is a 6" pour. He gave his opinion on what would look best, but didn't push any additional services beyond what we were looking for. We were so impressed that we decided to add a front patio to the project. Kelly goes above and beyond in his work. He removed and hauled away rocks along both sides of the driveway and widened the driveway. He also removed and hauled away a basketball hoop at no extra cost. He added dirt and grass seed on both sides of the driveway. Kelly is absolutely meticulous in his work, and his entire crew was professional and friendly. We would highly recommend O'Malley Concrete to anyone without reservation, and he will be our "go to" concrete provider for all future projects. There is no need to look further. Do not hesitate! Hire O'Malley Concrete and you will be very glad you did! Mary and Dave"

"<p>Josh at Artisan Concrete Pro was fantastic!  He was punctual, professional, and did a great job - our driveway looks better than ever.  He was very meticulous and taped off everything so no stain could get on the siding, the landscape edging, or the rock work.  He took his time and made sure the driveway was totally clean and that the stain/sealant went on smoothly and evenly. </p> <p>I was so impressed, I have already spoken to him about additional work we need done in the spring on our front and back stairs!  I would recommend Artisan Concrete Pro to anyone without hesitation.</p> <br />"

"<p>We had previously worked with Chris and his crew on replacement of a failing timber retaining wall with a contoured block version. That earlier work involved demolition and removal of treated posts and lumber while extending a pre-existing section using an Anchor block product. The segmented, angular wall was replaced by a contoured design that provided more room for a prized shade tree. During this initial, 2012 phase, we found Chris very easy to work with. He was receptive to our concepts and offered constructive comments- we didn't want a deferential contractor that would let us make bad choices. Chris speaks up in a respectful way. The crew happily worked with street pavers that were on-site. <br /> That earlier work turned out so nicely that we resolved to continue the project the in 2013 as our vision for completion firmed up. There are obvious advantages to completing the entire job at once, but even using design software, it is difficult to feature how it will all turn out. Change orders and call-backs are no fun for anyone. For us, it worked to live with an incomplete project for a few seasons to really know what we wanted.<br />  <br /> The 2013 work would involve constructing low planters in both the front and back yards, extending the patio work in the back yard, adding edgers and completing sod work. Chris returned with the same crew (a plus for us) and was rarely not on site himself during either project. This work was complicated by an impending family reunion. To avoid damaging existing landscaping, most of this second phase was completed with wheelbarrows and hand tools.  Once again, there were design and material selection considerations as well as technical issues, including rainwater management.  There was no objection to the owners contributing labor. In turn, we tried to stay ahead of the crew or out of the way.</p> <br /> The entire project is now complete- we are delighted and have received nothing but compliments. <br /> <br />"

"As with any seasonal company, get on the schedule early. We had one section of concrete removed, re-grading for run-off to flow away from the house into a rain garden basin they dug, and put down asphalt on a gravel 3 car parking area, with the asphalt butting up against the 110 yr old brick house. This was a tight area to work being at an old house in Minneapolis. This company was the only one to address my drainage needs upfront in a way that made me feel confident that I wouldn't have a pool of water where we previously had an issue. One day the grading crew came out. A few days later the asphalt crew came out. I thought it would all be done in one day, so communication could have been better about this aspect. I did take the time off work on both days to be on site. I'd recommend everyone do this, regardless of contractor, when it comes to this type of work. It's easier to correct things with a crew on site or answer a question they might have about your preference. This is hot, messy work. Advice to homeowners: Provide your crew with cooler full of bottled water and gatorade. It'll go a long way toward establishing good will with guys working **** ** your behalf."

"Well planned and thorough from start to finish. They worked nicely around our schedule, which extended the construction period a bit. They were not the cheapest, but their price was competitive with two other bids. We went with them because of their long experience and were not disappointed. If you want a garage built with minimal hassles, Sussel is your builder."

FAQs for concrete driveways & floors installation projects in Princeton, MN

Polished concrete floors offer many benefits with very few drawbacks. While issues like discoloration, stains, or imprints may occur during pouring, these are rare when working with a skilled flooring contractor. Once polished, concrete floors are easy to maintain, long-lasting, and eco-friendly. They also resist mold and moisture, making them ideal for allergy-prone households, and offer versatile design options for both indoor and outdoor use.

Polished concrete flooring is often more affordable than tile. It involves lower material costs and less labor-intensive installation. Tile installations require additional leveling and preparation, which increases labor costs. Opting for concrete flooring helps reduce upfront expenses and provides a durable, stylish finish that saves money over time with minimal maintenance.

While epoxy flooring offers enhanced durability and toughness compared to polished concrete, it comes with higher material and labor costs. If budget is a top priority, polished concrete floors provide a resilient and attractive finish without the premium price tag, making them an ideal choice for value and long-term performance.

Polished concrete floors last 20 years or more when installed by licensed professionals and maintained with proper care. Their enduring finish withstands heavy use and remains visually impressive for decades. Regular deep cleaning and maintenance help safeguard the floor’s integrity, providing homeowners with a long-lasting, cost‐effective solution that endures daily wear without compromising style.

Polished concrete floors increase home value by offering a modern, sleek appearance and exceptional durability. A professionally installed floor not only enhances visual appeal but also minimizes maintenance expenses, making the property more attractive to prospective buyers. This flooring upgrade delivers a refined look while boosting overall market competitiveness and long-term property value.
