"After paying other companies to install and fix this seriously leaking gutter issue with no results , I was put at ease by Excelsior’s Mr George Stewart , who came out and assessed what was wrong and what was required to remedy the situation , spending a lot of time to explain and answer questions , and arranged to begin the work needed the next day . I am extremely pleased with the outcome , this worrisome problem , years - long in the making , solved for me when no one else could . I wish I knew of this company years ago . Do yourself a favor and look no further than Excelsior Roofing for all your home’s outside needs and repairs ."

"I helped my Mom with contacting and scheduling Overson to install her new ceramic tile roof. Charlie (the Estimator) and Bianca (the office Production Scheduler) were very kind and professional. The onsite Supervisor and his roofing crew did an excellent job. The company met our expectations and I would highly recommend Overson Roofing."

"Todd Payne came out when he said, looked over the job and <br /> said they would send an estimate E-Mail in a couple of days. As he stated in a <br /> couple of days I received an estimate. I called and told him to set up a time <br /> to do the job. They sent me an E-Mail on the date and time and his crew showed <br /> up on time and did the repairs exactly what was agreed on. I would definitely <br /> have them again. <br />"

"Excellent. John performed a thorough inspection of the problem area of the roof, and described in detail his analysis. He performed the work timely and efficiently, and would appear to have covered the bases. We won't know for sure until the monsoon if the repairs worked, but I have a high degree of confidence that the problem has been solved."

"She is good but I think the price is something you guys set so that you get a portion of that course and the person that does the service gets a portion.  I think that's a little too high.  I mean if you don't need much, as far as minor repairs,  you're paying out a hundred and fifty bucks for someone to just look at your roof and I have a fairly small house so the alternative would be for me to just set up an inspection for another roof company.  That has nothing to do with service that the person that came out for Sunset Valleywide Roofing.  You don't know quite what your getting with that kind of service.   "

"I want to thank Corina and "Johnson Roofing" for the excellent service and repairs completed on our Tile Roof! Our house is selling in a few days and the home inspection turned up several broken, loose, and cracked tiles, and also some "mud cap" repairs that needed attention. They (Johnson Roofing) gave us a very fair quote, communicated the whole way thru the process via eMail(s) amd were promptly here when they said they would be. Folks that know me, know I don't often write reviews. And if I do, it's really been earned! This is a good solid Arizona company, so "buy local" and you can really trust these folks! Thank you again Corina, with the house closing in a few days, and you working around our short schedule to get this work completed, you really saved our bacon! ; ) -Chip"

FAQs for roofing installation & roof repair projects in Queen Creek, AZ

An average Cape Cod roof-raising project requires approximately two to three months from start to finish. The timeline depends on several variables, including weather conditions, contractor availability, material delivery schedules, and the specific complexity of your home's structure. The process involves multiple phases, including demolition, framing, roofing, window installation, and interior finishing. Working with an experienced contractor who provides a detailed timeline can help set realistic expectations for the project duration.

While most Cape Cod homes can accommodate roof-raising modifications, each house requires individual structural assessment. Older homes may need foundation reinforcement or wall strengthening before supporting additional weight. Factors like the existing roof framing system, load-bearing wall placement, and overall structural integrity all influence feasibility. A qualified structural engineer should evaluate your specific property before proceeding with design plans. Additionally, local zoning ordinances may restrict maximum building height or architectural modifications in certain neighborhoods.

Temporary relocation is highly recommended during a Cape Cod roof raising project. The construction process involves removing portions of your existing roof, exposing interior spaces to potential weather damage, and creating significant noise and dust. Most homeowners find temporary accommodations for the two to three-month construction period, with relocation costs ranging from $2,000 to $6,000, depending on your housing choices. If staying with family or friends isn't possible, budget for short-term rental or extended-stay hotel expenses as part of your overall project cost.

Consider roof raising when you experience severely limited headroom throughout the second floor, find yourself constantly stooping under sloped ceilings, or have minimal usable floor space due to low ceiling heights. Other indicators include inadequate natural light, poor ventilation, and difficulty accommodating standard furniture in upstairs rooms. Simple renovations can improve an attic's appearance, but cannot create additional headroom without structural modifications. A complete roof-raising project makes more sense than cosmetic renovations if you're seeking genuine second-floor living space rather than just storage improvements.

Begin your search by seeking contractors with specific experience in Cape Cod structural modifications and dormer additions. Request detailed portfolios showing similar completed projects and ask for references from previous clients with comparable work. Verify that potential contractors hold appropriate licenses and insurance coverage and understand local building codes relevant to roof raising. Interview multiple candidates, comparing price quotes and their communication style, project approach, and proposed timeline. The ideal contractor should demonstrate a thorough understanding of Cape Cod architectural characteristics and structural requirements.
