"Reinstalled a dishwasher correctly that was poorly installed by a different company. The Zowada employee was friendly and professional. I have used Zowada Plumbing in the past for some major renovations to my bathroom and incoming water line, that employee was great as well! I would recommend them to anyone needing plumbing work done in their home. They are reliable, honest and most importantly, stand behind their work! <br />"

"I called wanting to get the p trap and drain pipes under my kitchen sink and they were out the same day. The gentleman that came out was very professional and courteous. He completed the job in about a half an hour. It would have taken me 4 hours and several trips to the hardware store. You can tell it was done by a true professional. There prices were very good. I will never use another plumber."

"Initially we were going to go with an alternate company that had better price on the unit, until we spoke to sales rep for CK. He was prompt, knowledgeable and he gave us informational booklets that we could keep to review. He returned our calls in a timely manner if we had additional questions, <strong>without hesitation</strong>. (not all of the companies did this) We also appreciated that although he showed enthusiasm to gain our business...he was not pushy (big plus as I DO NOT like pushy sales people) He did follow up with us prior to us making the decision, but again, it did not come off pushy. <br /> <br />Getting the unit installed was a great experience as well!! Jon & Jed were our techs, and even though Jon was training the other tech , they stayed on schedule. They cleaned up after themselves and were very respectful of our home. Upon completion, Jon gave us a run down of all they did & showed us how to use and maintain our unit. He was great! I am very pleased!!! <br />"

"I received my radon results in a timely manner. I did not hire them specifically, (so, I cannot say I would hire them again) the local company contracted them for this service. The home inspector I hired, handled this service for me and included the results in his report."

"I was frustrated that they didn't cover our garbage disposal and they didn't cover the thermostat, otherwise everything we did there was great. I didn't have any problems. It's $50 a month, and then everything is covered. You don't have to pay for people to come out. When our hot water heater broke, we had to pay for the new water heater, but that just for the actual thing, not anything else like the service or installation."

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Riverton, WY

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
