Customers say: Quality work

"Capelle Electric installed 3 ceiling fans/light fixtures for us. They are easy to work with, answered all questions we had, and finished the job in a timely manner. They cleaned up after themselves so I didnâ t have to. Keith Capelle and his partner were professional in every way. I would not hesitate to hire them again or recommend them to others."

"Tyler at Iconic is now our “go-to guy” when it comes to everything home electrical. From swapping out fixtures, bumping our outlets, and even making assessments about total load on our electrical panels, we trust him completely to handle any job. This is our first home and it is such a relief to feel we’ve found the company we need for all our electrical needs. Thanks, Iconic!"

"Keith answered my initial call personally and came by within 2 hours. The entire socket (which was plastic) had to be replaced. He installed a new porcelain fixture. He was very pleasant and professional. I've given his contact info to some family members who need some electrical work. Overall, we were very pleased and will use him again for our electrical needs."

"Contacted Hero for a quote to remove 2 old gas lines and install 1 new one as part of a home remodel project. Hero sent e-mails and text messages letting me who was coming and when to expect them at my home. Sean arrived, assessed the work that was needed and provided a quote. When I decided to proceed Sean got started on the work and phoned back to the office for additional parts he needed. After a couple hours a Dustin and Bryan arrived to help get the work completed. All during the process everyone was very professional and asked me if I had any questions or concerns. Great work from the Hero team!"

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Rochester, MN

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
