Customers say: Quick response

"The team was here when they said they would be and were always polite and professional and answered any questions that I had. The job took roughly four days to complete. After a few days I noticed a couple issue towards the end of the driveway so I contacted them and they came out to assess the issue and agreed they would address my concerns. I am very very pleased with the service and professionalism of this company. They made sure each day they left that my property was clean and tidy from their days work. This company is quite busy however it is well worth the wait to have them do your concrete work."

"I would highly recommend Whelchel Landscaping & Construction. It was nothing short of a pleasure working with Dimitri and the entire crew. There were draining concerns in our backyard and they worked through in issue so the new design would drain properly. The crew and foreman were very professional and did outstanding work. Will be doing additional work with them in the Spring. Thanks Whelchel!!"

"The transformation Phil effected for us has left us almost speechless. When we bought our house, our 1/3 acre lot looked like a complete wasteland and clearly hadn’t been touched in decades. Phil designed, and he and his (also fantastic) team installed, a gorgeous landscape from scratch. Cars slow down as they pass our house now! Phil himself is a delight to work with -- responsive, creative, generous with his time and expertise, well organized, flexible, meticulous, very talented, and just a great guy. We knew right away we were in good hands. We could not be happier and would recommend him to anyone."

"I knowingly paid Mr. Cacy more than the other bid due to his rating on Angie's List and was not disappointed.  I bought a lot that needed restoration work done, Frank communicated well with me, showed up on time and did a fine job.  As a part time resident, it is frequently a challenge to get contractors to execute as planned, but Frank did exactly what was requested, did an additional task, on time and without incident.  Would recommend Cacy's Bobcat / Excavation to others that need this type of work done."

"Contracted with Brad to have my back yard re-landscaped, which included a new paver patio. Even though they had to work around the weather (rain and cold), Brad’s men worked quickly and I’m loving the finished product. They arrived every morning around 8:00am and left around 5:00pm with a 1 hour or less lunch break. Before leaving at the end of the day, they cleaned up and made sure I could get my car out of the garage (due to the Bobcat). When I asked for small changes, they were quick to accommodate me. Brad arrived every day to make sure all was going as planned. When I needed more materials than expected, Brad went ahead and added it without charging me extra. I wholeheartedly recommend By the Yard Landscaping."

"MC bid 4000 psi concrete with rebar, although driveways are typically 3000 psi with mesh. Crew arrived on schedule. First day was old driveway removal then prep for the pour. Put in 1/2 in rebar on 24 in centers with standoffs. Very meticulous. Took them from 7 AM until about noon. Pour started at 6 AM on the second day. Extensive careful finishing which wasn't completed until about 11 AM. They put a lightly brushed finish on it. Third day one of the crew returned to remove the forms and generally clean up and touch up. Crew obviously knew what they were doing. Resulting driveway looks excellent. Can't comment on durability for about another 10 years or so. :) Overall, MC did an excellent job and I would use them again and recommend them to others. They stepped on a couple of plants, but that was unavoidable. No issues whatsoever."

"Carlos D. and Saul F. were very professional. They installed a new front door, patio door and 3 windows. They were very careful to drape and protect the interior of the house during installation and clean up was perfect. These are top quality products and the installation was a breeze thanks to Carlos and Saul. Thank you!"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Santa Fe, NM

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
