Customers say: Quality work

"Roman and his team transformed our home with exterior paint and repairing some external siding and chimney damage. His high quality attention to detail, thoughtful proactive care for our home, and efficient work were impressive. He was communicative about any thoughts or questions he had and it was clear his expertise made this project better than I had originally planned. The end result is that our home is now gorgeous - we’ve gotten so many compliments from neighbors and friends. "

"Recently had them paint our house in Kenmore. Andrey is honest and upfront. House is on a slope with serious elevation drop on backside. Cedar siding had paint loss and some rot on south exposures. They were able to use pole jacks as a savings over scaffolding. They had a carpenter make siding repairs prior to paint. They even refinished a cedar soffit. Price was fair and work was timely."

"We are so happy we went with Potts Painting for the huge wall with high ceilings and a staircase to navigate. Their estimate was lower than others we got, and they did a wonderful job. They arrived on time, were done ahead of schedule, and left everything clean and perfect! We will definitely use Potts painting again when we need painting done."

"We hired M and A Home Services to help prepare a home for sale. Moises worked closely with the sellers to complete a long list of items including whole house painting and hardwood floors refinishing and extra “honey- do’s requested by me and the seller. The work was completed ahead of schedule with beautiful results. Everyone is happy. "

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Seattle, WA

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
