"I normally get two or three estimates when I hire someone to take on a major project like a new driveway. I hired Joel Jones because he appeared to be upfront and was not out to rip me off. Though the process was delayed due to weather, when the workers completed the job, it turned out very much the wait. He's a very likable person with a good sense of humor and his workers were hardworking and very good craftsmen. I would certainly recommend Joel Jones of Knoxville for any home improvements. "James showed up on time and was able to work us in as an early morning job the next day. A portion of our driveway had been removed due to septic tank repairs and we only asked James to just make a straight line to connect the parts back together. He said "I can do better then that, "and he did! He created a nice curved design to fit it with the existing landscaping and was able to restore more driveway space as a result. Instead of having an obvious patch-up job we now have a space that looks like a planned design. He and his entire crew were very personable, polite and patient. They did not blink an eye when our little dog escaped and ran right through the entire space. They just said no problem and let us know to clean our dog right away to avoid any burns to his skin. In addition, their prices are reasonable and James thoroughly explains what the project entails. I recommend him without reservations to others needing his services. "I highly recommend Robert and United Foundations! I had a serious drainage issue at the front of my house due to a cracked and sloping driveway. Unlike a competitor, Robert didn't just plan on replacing the driveway as is, he carefully figured out exactly what was causing my drainage issue and then adjusted his plans for my driveway according. For example, he raised the elevation on one side significantly, added an edge/lip to the side of the new concrete and added a drain. I was impressed with the detailed solutions he kept coming up with as he evaluated the issues. He even identified a serious issue with the concrete slab in my garage where the underlying support had washed away! Besides identifying and fixing my drainage and garage issues, I was also extremely pleased and impressed with how quickly his crew started and finished my project. The only negative I can think of is that I had to pay with a check. Given the cost of driveway repairs, a credit card option would have been helpful. Other than that, I give Robert and his team 10 stars out of 10!!! THANK YOU!"

"Joshua was excellent to work with. Very responsive. And did a great job. Would give an A+++ if Angie's List supported it:) We needed a 24 foot by 50 foot area cleared for the well drilling rig and support truck, as well as extending the existing driveway up into the woods to the cleared area. There were a significant number of medium sized trees that needed to be removed as well as a number of tree trunks. The job took a few more hours than expected due to issues with part of the area not having stable soil until digging down about 5 feet or so. But Joshua worked steadily and was able to get a stable level base for the well drillers. Spent a lot of time making sure the area was well compacted. We decided that it would be better to add crushed stone to the driveway to help control erosion and to provide more traction for the well drillers. Joshua does very good work, and he made sure that it was done right. Even with the extra work that had to be done, and the spreading of the stone the price remained the same as the initial quote plus the cost of the stone. We gave Joshua a nice bonus over and above what he charged for the job. Once the well is drilled we will have him come back to pull some of the dirt that was excavated back down since we only need to leave about half the width of the cleared area to provide access to the well for repairs in the future. Highly recommend Country Boy Excavating."

"We had some difficulty making contact and getting scheduled; but that was partially due to the time of year. Once scheduled, they were prompt, worked consistently (a full 3 day job, a long drive), did a high quality job. We originally were planning on just re-asphalting, but decided to change to concrete. We did not have an easy drive to do; but they took care of all the unusual needs, went above and beyond, and did an excellent job. We have gotten many compliments.
